Dad at 103, WWII Vet D-Day, No. Africa and Sicily Campaigns passed away August 19, 2023. Loved by all, his family and friends. Services at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery. Everything was handled by Chad Petersen and Kimberly. They are the most helpful and supportive people I have worked with in years. They set up and coordinated the most beautiful and respectful service, with Military Honor Guard, Rifle Volley and Flag presentation. The service was thoughtful and very well organized. The grounds are beautiful and we really appreciated their personal touches. Wonderful people to work with in a difficult time. Thank you.
The passing of our mother was a very difficult time. Chad's thougthfulness and soft guidence was invaluable during our journey. He was quick to answer our questions and went out of his way to cater to our needs. Thank you Chad for helping us navigate this experience. I am a funeral director from Zanesville Ohio & had a death call in Florida in the Bradenton area. Whenever we have a death out of state it is always so hard to choose a funeral home in the area to help with service. You never know who to trust or how well they will treat you since they are not actually the funeral home that will ultimately be serving the family. I have been in the funeral business for 45 years & have to say that I have never had better service from an "out of state" trade call in all those years. I was recently at a funeral service with the Skyway Memorial and I was completely in awe at the service. During this trying and difficult time of losing someone so close to me, I felt like I was fully supported and working with friends. Two specific members of the staff were beyond amazing and I feel they deserve recognition. Amber and Kim were the kindest and sweetest, to not only me but my entire family. They had the utmost respect and were full of compassion. When losing a family member, you want to make sure the service is handled well and I felt Amber and Kim did a perfect job and surpassed our expectations. This is how true professionals should act and present themselves. I would love for them to get the recognition they deserve for their hard work. They did a fabulous job and my family and I are truly grateful and appreciative of them.
Everyone, especially Chad, was so helpful and supportive during this hard time. People reached out to me with their condolences and had never met me. They are a light at the end of a dark tunnel. Thank you.
