Purchased a HD8200Xl antenna from them plus a booster for it. Installed it on my roof it only scanned in twelve channels. The one I took down was a small digital antenna that was mounted in the same spot and it picked up 54 channels. I just wanted a better one and the 8200 that cost four times what the little one cost didn't work. The antenna looks impressive but does not pull in many stations. Now I have an email from them making it sound like I purchased the wrong antenna and booster for my area. I called before purchasing this antenna and was told yes that one would work for me. My next door neighbor has the same size by a different manufactor that works great in our area. They also said that the antenna was too powerful for the stations but its not the local stations I had trouble with, the one's I had trouble with was the 60 mile range that should have helped with a better signal for a long range antenna. Be very careful when ordering if the product doesn't work for you, when you try to return it to them the return fee is almost what you pay for the product plus the return shipping cost and if they feel the product returned can't be resold you will have to pay for them to ship the item back to you. Not a good way to do business in today's market. They also ask that I take my post down while they work on the issue but I feel it is better up and maybe something will get done about my issue with this antenna problem.If I could I would give them a minus on communication after the sale . I will never recommend them to a friend or family.Also when I received this antenna the box had been opened before, and one of the mounting clamps was missing and the antenna looked like it had been put together before I purchased it. The bag with mounting part's had been opened before I received it. I guess I can chalk this experience up for not buying from a local vendor who would have taken care of the problem. Still haven't heard back from them BUYER Beware. Do not believe what they say about their quality antennas the HD 8200 XL doesn't even pick up as good as a cheap digital one. More than a week has passed and NO call back about my problem, glad I didn't take the post down as asked. After almost two month's still haven't heard back from them on how they were going to solve my problem glad I didn't take the post down as they asked. If you read this post I still haven't heard back from them. POOR customer service after the sale. As you may see they haven't responded to my post as they normally do.
hat a great experience from navigating the website, to payment but most importantly the customer service. Jason V. was extremely knowledgeable and helped clarify my purchase to better serve my needs. He also helped walked me through the set up of my device and even explained things that could affect me in the future. I would HIGHLY recommend buying from Solid Signal.
I purchased a new directv cable box from this company as a replacement for mine that went bad. They had a phone number to call to activate the box so i did and we had some trouble getting it activated because of directv not solid signal. They told me we could activate it if we switched my account from a personal to a business account so i said ok. They did not switch anything they opened a brand new account for me so i now have 2 accounts and only 1 cable box. When i got my first double bill they told me that was normal the first month and it would not happen again so i paid both. After it continued to happen and i finally got someone on the phone they assured me they would fix the issue and of course never even called me back. They just simply lied to make the sale and do not care that i have 2 bills a month or pay a heavy cancellation fee. I recommend staying away from this company
I recently bought a satellite dish antenna from Solid Signal. Everyone I talked with was courteous, knowlegible, and spoke very good English. Jason V was particularly helpful in answering questions concerning differences between various models and eventually how to set-up the model I selected. A great team to deal with!
Solid Signal has went out of their way contacting me several times about the antenna I originally ordered on Black Friday which had a backorder status at the time. Due to all the part shortages that every manufacturer is experiencing, several replacement options were sent via email to me as the ETA was unknown for my order. They stayed in constant contact with me throughout the whole process. Finally, a much better antenna that was out of stock when I placed my original order was now in stock. They notified me and I made the switch and got a better discount than on Black Friday. Solid Signal truly cares about their customers.
Jason was well informed on the Information I called in about. He pointed me in the right direction and was a please to talk with. Glad to be able to call a company and actually understand what they are saying. US companies are the best! Thanks again Jason!
Directv customer here. Solid Signal has great prices but they try to scam you with these false activation fees. I have been a directv customer for 11 years and wanted to buy some older model receivers due to the type of dish i have. Solid Signal has these receivers listed for $99 on the website. After i placed the order i then get an email saying my directv account info is needed to activate these boxes so i call because this is considered a red flag as i never had this come up before on prior purchases from other companies. I speak with the guy who said this is needed since ATT took over Directv so i provided my account info which he verified i am legit. Then he says i am supposed to pay an activation fee per receiver. This is something i have never paid for EVER and i have personally purchased all of my directv equipment myself so big red flag here. He tried to charge me $150 per receiver for activation. So not only did i spend $212 for 2 receivers they were trying to get another $300 for this so called activation. I told him to cancel my order and i will do business elsewhere. I called directv loyalty department and explained what I tried to buy and what Solid Signal tried to charge me. The rep confirmed that i do not pay activation fees. I will not be a returning customer with this company!
Today I finally had someone helping me that really cared , my Direct TV receiver had to be replaced Jason V at Solid Signal was really helpful. He knows what he is doing, I wanted to shout out and share my thoughts and like always Solid Signal always comes through. For me I have been their customer over 15 years. Thanks again Fred Walden
Placed an order for three supposedly in-stock items on April 5, then got a note a couple days later that they are actually special order. Cancelled my order at that time. Then they waited 3 weeks to issue my refund. I was actually planning to dispute the charge tomorrow as I thought they were trying to keep my money. Plenty of good vendors online- these guys really aren’t one of them.
