Soul Vegetarian Restaurant is the largest chain of Vegan Restaurants in the world and operates under the auspices of the Hebrew Israelite Community of Jerusalem (www.kingdomofyah.com).
In Tallahassee the Soul vegetarian Restaurant chain is unique in that Tallahassee was the first city to operate "mobile food trailers" as a permanent part of the restaurant chains business. To give some background, Soul Vegetarian Restaurant on wheels began back in 1995 as an idea of Prince Rahm Ben Yehudah (Southern Region Representative and Holy Council member of the Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem) and made its initial appearance in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta Georgia. During the Olympic Games the Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem and partners successfully operated three food trailers and served multitudes of people.
Then in October of 1997, after learning that Prince Rahm was offering two of the food trailers for sale on behalf of the Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem, the young saints of the Tallahassee, Florida Jurisdiction of the Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem purchased one of the food trailers and began operating on Florida A&M Universities campus.
The original team of saints consisted of Ahmahtsiyah, Nehehmahnyah, Zacoor, Daniella, Zohariah, Emah Hotirah and Prahkeet. Over the years other wonderful saints, volunteers, friends and family have joined the team and are an integral part of our operation.
Several months later as they recognized the great potential of the food trailers, the saints purchased the second food trailer in January of 1998. It operated in the heart of downtown Tallahassee for 12 years on Kleman Plaza (200 N. Duval St) which the saints aptly renamed "Kingdom Court".
In the summer of 2009 Soul Vegetarian Restaurant acquired it's current location at 1205 South Adams Street, which includes a take out area, dining room, the Beauty of Sarah natural hair care center, banquet hall and wholistic health center!
Our goal is to continue to provide delicious vegan cuisine and excellent customer service to those seeking high quality food choices!

Soul Vegetarian Restaurant specializes in vegan versions of soul food staples like BBQ Tofu, Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens and corn bread, along with various specials, vegetables, desserts and drinks served daily. Live salads and a variety of wheat-free items are also served. You'll also find our line of soy ice-cream flavors to be creamy and delicious!
