Southeast Tacoma/Johnson Creek MAX Station

Description

Southeast Tacoma/Johnson Creek is a light rail station and park and ride for the MAX Orange Line. Service began on September 12, 2015. It is the third stop northbound on the Orange Line. The station was built for residents of the Sellwood and Ardenwald neighborhoods of Portland and Milwaukie. The station is located adjacent to Oregon Route 99E and can be directly accessed by northbound traffic and by traffic from the portion of SE Tenino Street that connects SE Tacoma to SE Johnson Creek Boulevard. The station is located where the historic Oregon Woolen Mills once operated and in more recent years was the past location of the Goodwill mega-store known as the "Goodwill Bins". Past plans called for the site to be developed as a Wal-Mart and was staunchly opposed by area residents.Bus serviceLine 34 - Linwood/River RdLine 99 - Macadam/McLoughlin Express

It is what it is. There is limited covered seating and a display with incoming Max times. At least is is powered by solar panels.
Yeah, it's OK. But when they built this place they put in, like, 20% fewer parking spots than at the old Milwaukie Park and Ride up the street so by 7:45 am it's always full. I kinda hate TriMet sometimes. But hey, it means I ride my bike more, or get a nice long daily walk to and from the old Park and Ride, so I guess they're encouraging my healthy habits.
This is a great place to park your car and ride downtown and lighted real well at night it's nice and open and protected well really good.
If your Max trip brings you to the SE Tacoma/Johnson Creek Transit Center, be sure to take a look at the artwork and nature viewpoints here. If you're interested, there's a great plaque here with the history of Willsburg that is fascinating.
Nice Max station. Close and convenient.
Was waiting for bus transfer. Seems safe and well lite. Not much in the way of shelter so umbrella or raincoat.
My house is right on the other side of mcloughlin near the acropolis, that makes it an easy walk for me to get this max stop.
I ride the max home every work day. It's clean, quiet and convenient.
Not nearly enough parking spaces.
