Place nicely renovated. Food is not great. Pizza base was crunchy and burnt. Disappointed with the chicken wings too.
The food here is excellent!!! Beautiful fresh fish - not using frozen fish like the large club a few doors away. Chips very nice and didn’t have to wait very long for my lovely food to arrive either!!! Happy to eat here regularly. Wish the club up the road could do that consistently!!’
The moment l walked into the place l felt no happiness and it didn't feel comfortable. The tin tanks they have in the establishment give a cold no atmosphere effect. The bar staff were not friendly. I had a beer at the bar and left. Never to go back there.
I live in Brisbane, but when at Southport I go to Sopo Brewing for the beef curry! it is the best! made onsite with real herbs/spices cardamon pods, you get a good serve! and I am fussy!...totally recommend it. Play a game of pool, listen to some live music! and the pub is not owned by a corporate! Thankyou :Food: 5/5
Great beer selection on tap. Staff are super helpful and the venue is clean airconditioned and has good food. There is even a Brazilian working there that has a beautiful accent.
Like the new renovations, staff great, food good, manager rude, ordered Thai Beef Salad, I've ordered many times, well cooked, taste, great combination of chard beef, fresh herbs and greens. Manager mistaken order, sent meat lovers to my table. After explaining this is not what I ordered, and said I will not eat this, my ordered was not replaced, no money offered in return. Being in hospitality most my life, this attitude, customer service is not excerptible. After being not listened to, was told no one likes me, do not return. Very sad a busy so great, owner spent plenty money, has a manger who does not understand his position in this great location and should be relieved.

Home Brew I had was so so but that's cos I am more into darker beers. I will try a different one next time The red wine from NZ I think a Pinot to die for!!! It's great to have a brewery bar in Southport definitely can guarantee a fun time. They may do beer flights?
Steak in steak sandwich was half gristle/fat. It would have been clearly visible to a chef/cook. If we had had the time, we would have sent it back. Also, no toilet servicing the dining room- have to go through the gaming room. Not impressed, won't be back.
It looks fabulous but I was stood up on my birthday. The bar ladies were lovely.
