We began making bread in a small, cold shack
in the winter of 2001...our sights set to
make the best bagel in the state of maine.
Thirteen years later, we’re still doing it.
Our bagels & breads are made by hand daily.
We use organic rye & wheat,
grown & ground here in maine.
The breads are leavened using our sourdough
starter, “LUIS”, who has been with us since the start.
After operating out of 158 PICKETT STREET CAFE
for over a decade, we began turning a big ol’ warehouse
into a bakery & commercial kitchen,
in hopes of sharing our breads & bagels
beyond our SOUTH PORTLAND home...
