I’ll rank them as neutral. Staff was not overly friendly, but also not ignorant either. Prices seemed a little high compared to other locations I’ve been to. Nice selection and nice parts selection if you’re looking for scopes, mounts and such.

Today was my last time ever going to Spar Firearms. I have given them all my transfer business for years as well as bought from them and sold to them. Their transfer fees are by far the highest in the area but I still have them the business. A year ago they lowballed me on a Sig-Saur I had, today the offered $75 for a S&W M&P 9mm. There are much cheaper better places in the area. Go to one of them. Hope your rip off business practices are worth the business you’re losing.

One of the worst shops I’ve ever been to, sold me a broken IWI Tavor, and they take advantage of old women that don’t know what they’re looking at and lowball them. Will never come back to this scumbag place.

My girlfriend and I went into spar to purchase a firearm for her birthday and service was terrible. Don’t know the guys name but he has a black beard and he was short, anyways he said we could not purchase the firearm she wanted because we didn’t have a license to carry a concealed weapon. I was confused and I told him do you know where we are you do not need a concealed license to purchase a firearm. I will not recommend this place to anyone!

Decent selection of ammo at decent prices. Customer service is lacking but if you have questions they will provide you with the answers. They also carry some nice holsters.

Definitely one of the better shops regionally unfortunately ammo prices are a little high and selection is limited. Can’t say I’m surprised based on the current state of gun and ammo demand but I feel they could do better. I have stopped buying ani locally and gone online entirely for ammo and now even gun purchases. I’ve bought a lot here and I like the guys who work here they’re personable and not very snobby. They are helpful and tbh the encounters with the staff is why I keep coming back they’re solid dudes. Pricing and availability is beyond their control I don’t fault them for it. But I would like a cheaper transfer fee and more competitive ammo prices

After many visits to this store I thought it was time to do a review. The staff is very knowledgeable and has no problem not giving you an answer rather than guessing which is awesome.. they are not a normal shop... they have a strong family atmosphere.. and are not there to sell you like a used car salesperson.. they are more like ... financial advisors.. answering all your questions.. helping you decide what is or even what is not right for you. They know the difference between a collector with a passion for ownership as well as an enthusiast who isn’t sure what they want or need.. I have gone in undecided at times and was never pressured.. because they aren’t that kind of place... I cannot speak more highly of a company... when you shop their it is forming a small relationship with the store.. I’ve called several times for clarity on things in the past and they have always very thoughtfully answered.. even if the answer was “you could do that.. but I wouldn’t recommend it..” and then here is why... sure I am not saying they can educate the world on every facet but wow they sure do go the distance...it remains my pleasure to shop there!

Stopped in here on a recommendation from from my father to check out there selection on used pistols and got way more than I expected. The salesman Matt Forry was knowledgeable and friendly He took the time necessary to help me understand what I was looking at. Weather your a seasoned shooter or a beginner Matt is your man. you only get 2 stars now because you have one good employee and the rest are very unprofessional stopped in on a separate occasion they poked fun and made jokes after I asked if they accept layaway but was not ready to buy on the spot. 3 employees insulting a customer while the owner watches. I was 3 days from payday. I bought elsewhere

I usually don't leave reviews. But I just had such a good experience here that I felt like I had to. They had great customer service. The person that helped me was very friendly and very helpful. But I also seen the other employees helping other customers and they were great to. I have many closer gun shops around me. But I think ima choose to make the 60-70 min drive to shop here. Thanks again to spar employees. Keep up the great work

SPAR Gun Shops transfers fee is way overpriced!!!! It is $60 for private transfer trough them, go somewhere else. It did not even take 16 minutes. I kept track and they charged me $60, lol !!! Unless you have money to waste, do not go to them. I thought it was $35 no not any more what a joke! I was about to honestly give the gun back to the seller and walk out, but I paid it. Not worth it go somewhere else if you want a transfer. There are other gun shops around the area. The Industry average is low end $20 to high end $40 but not here.
