My most recent trip to Home Depot was excellent--all because of Petra. She is a gem, and I hope the management appreciates what they have in this great employee. She worked with me very patiently to locate the exact garage furniture items I had picked out, made sure the store had them they had one of two and ordered the other one from the warehouse; she got them assembled and set up delivery; and she kept me informed about everything over a two week period. Like all shoppers, I've had good and bad experiences at the building supply chains, but this experience was excellent. Thank you Petra for your excellent customer service!
I love shopping at home Depot and Lowe's. But it seems that unless you buy an extended warranty through home Depot when you buy an appliance they will only cover it themselves for 48 hours after delivery... The last appliance purchase was an absolute nightmare when needing fixed only 30 days after delivery and after trying to go the right way through the manufacturer home Depot provided zero help after stating we did not purchase the extended warranty. I would highly advise buying any appliances through their unless you buy the extended warranty because they will not provide any support if needed
Not the worst Home Depot but definitely not the best. I'm being a little generous with the 3 stars. Staff or not knowledgeable as to what is located where in the store. It is a very dirty store. Had to use the restroom and noticed two employees who also use the restroom but didn't wash their hands before returning to work. Took longer than it should have to check out due to the fact the cashier at the pros line was too busy talking about football and not too worried about the fact there was a line backing up down though lumber isle.
Home Depot designs their stores to all be exactly the same so you can find what you want at any one of their stores you visit. They've got just about everything you'd want for home remodeling & repair, outdoor items & grilling, paint, flooring, appliances, siding, lumber, decorations, lighting, manual & power tools, mulch & plants. They can contact out counters, fences, etc. I like ordering items online or in store that my contractor can pickup at the Pro desk for the different jobs he does for me. Plus the Pro desk can price out large items for you flooring, lumber, etc & get you the best price available. The staff here is very nice & helpful & the large order loading crew is top notch.
Very well stocked, clean store. Customer service is very lacking. The self check out girl today was extremely rude, snappy at a disabled customer I was with, generally speaking, the experience would have been 5 stars had it not been for her attitude.
They are either understaffed, or too busy to clean up around the store. A lot of things where they don't belong, price tags not updated on the shelves, etc. Finding someone to help you is an adventure itself. Used to be a great store. Very unfortunate.
Home Depot is Home Depot! I went and got what I needed. I do like to go to the one in Mechanicsburg but anyone will do. Overall a clean store with items easy to find. The staff is willing to help however with the current labor market and corporations underpaying, they may be few and far between.
Got stranded after purchasing a Christmas tree asked if I could purchase jumper cables told yes. Lady said it was a safety hazard to tell me how to use them since I've never done it before. But buying the more expensive do it yourself one was a better option which still I have no idea how to use. Than said oh we just don't have anyone available to do it.
Terrible customer service. We ordered a dryer and it was delivered defective. You can hear metal scraping when it runs. The man delivering the dryer said he would note it as defective. Now Home Depot knows nothing about it. What a nightmare this has been.
So I used to think Lowes was bad but I just had an experience at Home Depot that as a person who works in customer service, I hope I never do to anyone and hope I never see again. A associate asked me if I was ok and needed help so I told him I was ok but was trying to.... And as I continued to explain what I was trying to find, he listened for a moment then he said "great, thanks for coming in and he walked away". He heard me...he was just being rude. Unfortunately I think this is the way customer service is going.
