Love this park. Quiet little spot with plenty of places to stop for a picnic or stroll. The trail to the summit could be blazed better but is definitely worth the hike. Porta potty available. Especially magical in autumn. Mushroom paradise! Feel safe to walk here alone.
One of the most beautiful parks I've visited in Sparta especially this time of year. Advanced trails, and totally worth the climb to the summit for that amazing view of Lake Mohawk. A must-see if you're in the area.
Very nice park with paved and dirt/rocky trails. The paved section follows along Sparta Glen Brook. There are benches and picnic tables with grills along the way. Not too many people here either.
Quiet and clean walking trails. Pet friendly and everyone cleans up. Beautiful creek was flowing just right, as shown.
A great place to take a walk with your dog and your favorite person. The trail follows the stream which runs through the park. There are park benches and barbecue grills you can use.
Hidden tranquil Park with nice stream, trails and picnic area
Lots of trails that are reasonably well marked. Nice hidden gem.
Quiet park with quick and fairly good views of the lake. A couple loop trails exist in the 2-3mile range and have a couple hundred feet of gain. Trails are horribly marked with many people getting lost along the way. With that said it's not that big of a park so even if you get lost you can probably find your way back without much issue. Signal is limited so don't rely on your phone.
Very nice and clean. We followed the blue trail, it intersected with the green, then near the top, the path joined the yellow and that took us to the top. About 1.5 hours going up slowly including taking a wrong turn, the about 45 minutes coming down. Have fun. Dogs on a leash ok.
Came here for a hike. The entrance was not clearly marked. We ran into another group at a dead end who also said they couldn't find the trail either. Eventually we found it but the trail was covered with fallen trees, twigs, and overgrown bushes. It is not well maintained. We were expecting something scenic. There were no good views. Wouldn't recommend.
