Educating students in the Catholic tradition in PreK4 through 8th grades.
Grades Pre-K (4) through 8.
Founded in the 1850's, St. Joseph School educates children Pre-K through eighth grade in the Catholic Tradition. Our mission is to provide a positive learning environment in which every child is challenged to develop their potential: academically, spiritually, and morally.
SOLID START: The Pre-K (4) program is five-days a week and follows the Archdiocese of Baltimore's Early Childhood Course of Study, recognizing the individual learning rates of children. Kindergarten students engage in a full academic curriculum including special area subjects and interactive learning centers that broaden and deepen concept development.
TOP TEACHERS: Teachers at St. Joseph School are certified by the State of Maryland, and most of them hold Master's Degrees or equivalency. We are a 2017 and 2018 Top Workplace named by the Baltimore Sun Media Group.
BEST PRACTICES: St. Joseph School recognizes the importance of educating today's learners. Best practices accompanied by state-of-the-art technology enhance student understanding of fundamental skills. Technology allows students to apply their knowledge and skills in a variety of medium across all subject areas. A strong language arts program incorporates phonics, literature, grammar, spelling, writing, vocabulary development and reading. Math enrichment classes, including algebra, are offered in Grades 6-8.
PROVEN RESULTS: Catholic high schools throughout the Archdiocese of Baltimore consistently grant admission to St. Joseph School students and reward them for their academic excellence with advanced course placements and academic scholarships.
