Stanford Court was founded upon the belief that caring for the sick, the elderly, and the infirm is a special and sacred stewardship. It is our mission to have this belief reflected in everything we do: in the presentation of our homes, in the professionalism of our staff, and in the daily delivery of care to our residents and their families. It is our purpose that whoever enters our home will be met with kindness, competence, and compassion.

"At Stanford Court Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center, we employ our own therapists and operate a large, fully contained therapy unit. Our greatest success is the ability to help patients recover to a lower level of care or discharge home."

This is place is unprofessional and a joke. My 92 year old grandmother who is battling stage 4 cancer was transferred here after a stroke until she got her strength up. This facility “forgot” to give my grandmother her chemotherapy drugs for over a week and instead piled her full of narcotics which she has always refused to take in the past. They also gave her laxatives even though she didn’t have any constipation which only depleted her further. Do not put someone in this home who cannot advocate for themselves. Calling themselves a “Skilled” nursing home is a stretch, they should lose their license.
I didn't post this as soon as I should have, but here goes. My Mom was sent there after a partial hip replacement She has dementia. SC staff tried to tell me at intake that my Mom had a stage one bedsore. I'm a nurse. She did not. She was sitting in a wheelchair out in the hallway in a hospital gown several times, even thought we brought her clothes when she entered this facility. One morning I came in early to see her and took her hand under the covers. The pad she was laying on was soaked, but even worse, there was a bigger dried urine ring around the wet one. She lost 25 lbs. and everyone blamed the other staff for her not being given Boost or Ensure. She was also discharged home with a stage 4 bedsore/decubitus ulcer. I would not send anyone to this facility who can not advocate for themselves.
This nursing home is a joke. The LVNs here are not compassionate whatsoever. They don’t treat their patients as if they were family. My grandma pushes her call light and waits over 30 minutes to get changed. She was supposed to get out of this nursing home yesterday and instead is now in the hospital from something that could have been prevented.
My experience was back in beginning April this year 2022. Ambulance transferred me approx midnight from Kaiser Hosp. Of course everyone wants immediate attn. Stanford as I'm sure as with all this type facilities have their assigned routines. Once I accepted that and viewed the care I was getting as a newby to skilled nursing as everything I needed, I so appreciated being there and all the wonderful staff. At that time I lived alone, caring for my two little dogs. My daughter took my dogs. At SC my meals were brought to me plus 2 snacks a day. Had TV, Got A super bath when I needed it. Went outside to enjoy the fish pond. Everyone in Physical Therapy were also kind and patient. For me it was a Resort Vacation and a time to heal my affliction before it was back to taking care of my normals at home and still mending. I chose not to be a complainer but appreciate all the staff. Sorry this is belated, but I promised to give a review & I'm very happy to do so.
Two different family members of mine have stayed at Stanford Court within the past ten years and both were treated with exceptional care, compassion, and respect. The staff here is the best I've seen in a skilled nursing facility I've visited many friends at other places that couldn't compare to Stanford Court. The physical therapy they provided was great. I was so impressed with their care that I had my 81-year-old cousin transferred by medical transport from a depressing Los Angeles skilled nursing facility to Stanford Court. I knew he would get the care he deserved, and he would be close to our family. When visits were allowed, the staff went out of their way to safely make the arrangements. The nurses and staff here are extremely patient, kind, and professional. The facility is attractive, the staff is superb, and I am eternally grateful for the care and kindness they gave my family!
Very nice facility. Better than the other one I used 3 years ago. Good food. Too much food quantity. All staff was very cheerful and friendly. That made the staying a good experience. Physical therapy was good. I always wanted more so I could progress faster to go home, but therapists know better than me when enough is enough and need to stop.
My mom has been placed at severial nursing facilities in San Diego between - Grossmont Post Acute, Arbor Hills & Cliosters which is now called The Cove. Stanford Court is HANDS DOWN the BEST facility out there. First, the facility is absolutely beautiful and it smells nice. The first time I walked into Stanford, the staff was sitting with the patience in the hallways something I've never seen, usually wheelchairs with elderly are parked along the hallways alone. People were smiling and laughing. The positivity and compassion was very vibrant among the staff and patience. People were HAPPY. My first visit, Mom needed ice for her water pitcher, so I decided to walk to the nurses station to introduce myself and request some ice for mom. By the time I made it back to moms room, my request had already been fullfilled. The head nurse of the west wing, Viki, is very punctual and has been a pleasure to work with. She is the first head nurse I have ever met at a facility who does something directly after she says she is going to do it. There is so much staff here and everyone is here to help with your loved one. Other nursing facilities mom has been at, I can't tell you how many times I'd see at least five nurses hovered over a computer and ignoring the lights going off down the hallways. Or them chatting away in the hallways. Staff at Standford Court are "hands on" and are there to do thier job!! Mom is very happy here. She has severe COPD and they have done an amazing job keeping it under control. Mom says the food is good and the staff is great. Finally, I can sleep at night in peace knowing mom is in good hands. It's been a very rough past couple months for her. Praying Standford will get mom better and back home. It all starts with the care of the facility!
My Mother has been placed in various different skilled nursing centers around San Diego. She absolutely adored the staff at Stanford Court Nursing Center - especially Carole, the activities director who even reached out to her through thoughtful cards after her release. Thank you to the entire staff and Carole for making her stay comfortable and as enjoyable as could be.
I was there for 9 days in Aug. 2022 after partial hip replacement surgery. It was horrible. I can't include details because the teview software won't let me.
I found the staff to be friendly. They gave good care to my mom and to the patients there also. I hated for my mom to leave there and go to a memory care place. Doesn't get a lot of attention at Stella Care and the staff is unfriendly too. But I give Stanford Court a thumbs up. I would recommend this place to anyone. They have a great Physical Therapist Department there and the onsite Doctors are amazing.
