Founded in 1963, SIG hosts student lunches and meetings with public servants, holds campus-wide Big Speaker events, does civic engagement work in the community, and offers more than 35 paid summer fellowships worldwide to Stanford undergraduates.
One of the oldest and largest student organizations at Stanford, Stanford in Government aims to promote an interest in public service among Stanford students. Stanford in Government brings people involved in all kinds of public service to campus and has them engage with students, while at the same time giving students an opportunity to engage in public service themselves in the community and through summer fellowships across disciplines and all over the world.
