We were at Steve Fields for a sponsored event with a fixed menu. The food was excellent...5s. I had Prime Rib and my wife had Grilled Salmon. The service was excellent 5s. Bar service/drinks were 5 s. Cant say much about the atmosphere as we were in a private closed room. We'll definitely return for a private meal....
I came here for a fabulous girls' night out! It was almost perfect, except the valet hit our car and has been an absolute pain to work with, so I’d advise you don’t valet! However, valet aside, we had a wonderful experience! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and our server Nolan was exceptional! We tried the Crab Cakes, which were good; the Lobster & Shrimp dip was my absolute fave, so so good! We had the Chef's Filet, Blackened Chilean Sea Bass Pontchartrain, sautéed mushrooms, creamed corn, and mashed potatoes. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like; I was very pleased with this meal, and the carrot cake is probably some of the best carrot cake I’ve ever had—a top-tier dessert for sure. The prices are insanely low for the portion and stature of this place; I felt like the value for the price was terrific. It makes me feel like I’ve been ripped off at the other steakhouses. Nonetheless, Steve, you have a great establishment; I can’t wait to return!
Friendly, knowledgeable service and nice management/owner. Good ambience for a nice night out. We loved our steaks that were cooked exactly as ordered. Cocktails were excellent. Better value than comparable steakhouses in the area.Food: 5/5
My husband took me here for our 5 year anniversary. I got the lobster and crab cakes and he got the lamb chops. Everything, from the service to the setting was perfect. A little pricey but worth every penny for a celebration.Food: 5/5
We had such an awesome time here that I didn't take any pictures, except for dessert. Boss lady and I came in for our anniversary dinner 34 years and had one of our best meals ever! From the ambiance to the attentive staff, our first time here will not be our last! Started with fried calamari, comes with two dipping sauces, which was fresh and delicious even she liked it, which is rare. And the French onion soup amazing. She had the prime rib-eye, which came with a loaded baked potato. I had the special wild caught salmon, whipped potato and grilled asparagus. Has to order the creamed corn very delicious. Since we were celebrating, we were gifted a delicious slice of chocolate cake. Thank you all for an amazing memory! We will definitely be back.
We have eaten here twice now. First time was in the lounge for Happy Hour and second time for dinner in the main restaurant. The food & flavors are great. Our waiter service both times were a good experience. The only thing that put me off was the "good old boy" management. Most restaurant have elevated pass this but this Plano Staple has not. This older white guy delivered our dessert. Put his hand on my shoulder while talking to my 13 year old sonwho he thought was a girl, due to his long blond hair. Saying how impressed he was that a young lady almost ate a whole NY Strip. In today's world, where there is an emphasis on pronouns, the older management should be educated. Other than that, I would go back. We really enjoyed the lounge vibe if you can get a table. It was super busy on a Friday night.
We booked a private room for our wedding here and our experience was phenomenal. Katy was so professional, kind, and helpful booking the party, even going above and beyond to make sure our menu was perfect for our party. The room was set up beautifully and the food was amazing. Our guests all loved the food and are still talking about it! Our servers, Isaac and Talia, were knowledgable, professional, and quick. Steve even came and congratulated us!
Steve and his team are wonderful all the way around, their customer service is second to none, outstanding, first class. If you want to enjoy a delicious dinner and be treated like a king or queen don't wait for a special occasion.Food: 5/5
As a vegan, it feels strange giving a 4 star rating to a steak house, but I have to. If they had more than one listed vegan option, it'd be 5. Wish I had taken a picture of my spicy vegan stir-fry clearly listed under 'vegan and vegetarian' options, but it was gone quickly. Prefaced this with a nice salad had to change the dressing, the complimentary bread and spicy oil, and excellent orange sorbet for dessert, I was more than satisfied with the portions and flavors of the meal. My guest enjoyed her meal as well, I tried her broccoli and it was excellent. Her carrot cake looked and she said tasted amazing. Our waiter wish I could remember his name, maybe Victor? was very personable and at our table the exact appropriate amount of time. We each had some wine and didn't break the bank. Stuck our heads in the bar on the way out, and there was pleasant music from the live piano player and a relaxing ambiance. Nice to know there is a relaxed, upscale location I can enjoy with friends or coworkers where I don't have to cross my fingers hoping for cruelty-free options. Vegetarian options: Clearly marked vegan spicy stir fry and vegetarian ravioli options. Fresh berries or sorbet for dessert.
The food and service was so good. This beautiful upscale restaurant never pressured us to buy more or eat quickly. A real class act. They found out we were there for a celebration and made sure we had a very generous piece of yummy chocolate cake.Food: 5/5
