Student Affiliates of Seventeen (SAS) is a membership organization of the Society of Counseling Psychology, Division 17 of the American Psychological Association. http://div17.org/SAS/
SAS is a vehicle for enhancing communication between leaders of the counseling profession and counseling psychologists-in-training. Through their membership, students are encouraged to increase their identification with the profession by experiencing formal involvement with the discipline's professional organization. The Division can benefit from the commitment and active participation of students, who are future Division 17 members with innovative ideas and services to contribute. Students benefit by learning more about the association, developing leadership skills, networking with professionals in the field, and mentoring and being mentored.
SAS members receive subscriptions to The Counseling Psychologist (8 issues per year), and the newsletters of Student Affiliates of Seventeen and Division 17 (3 per year). Members who join after the first volume of The Counseling Psychologist is published are entitled to receive all back copies of the journal for the current membership year.
