Freemasonry is a beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory, and illustrated by symbols.
Sul Ross Lodge, chartered in 1947, is thought to be the first Masonic Lodge to have functioned on the campus of a state college or university in the United States. A unique feature of the new lodge was that among its members were the president of Texas A&M College, all of the deans, and almost all of the department heads. The sizeable number of college administrators who were Master Masons provided impetus to the growth of the new lodge which created almost 100 new masons during its first year of existence.
To make good men better.
Freemasons help to build a better world through a unique and worthy process of building better men to live in it.
