Update: May 27, 2023 Great weather for tonight's concert! The warm up band, the Nomads, are performing, not one of my favorites. Looking forward to Lonestar Skynard. We don't see the usual presence of Parks and Rec staff or law enforcement. Miss seeing them. There are a few food trucks offering a variety of items. ******************************** The show must go on! Attended the May 22, 2021 Starlight Music Festival concert featuring both a Journey and a Aerosmith tribute band. Weather was a concern and park staff made their best guess earlier in the day, deciding to stage the performance outdoors rather than at the Lincoln Center. The bands played on while it drizzled and occasionally rained through the night. The weather was damp but didn't dampen the spirits of the bands or audience. Everyone made the best of a not so perfect situation. Several food trucks were on site. Restrooms were available. There is limited parking around the park. The main parking area is located at Post Oak Mall right off Hollemon Drive in College Station. The park is a great place to walk the sidewalk trails in the area. Large open spaces perfect for flying kites, playing outdoor games or just enjoying being outside are also available.
Most excellent outdoor venue! Sound was a little rough on some acts, and the moat in front of the stage is somewhat large, but otherwise... It's a great spot to catch live music!
Always a safe fun park! Lived by it for a lifetime and was happy. We would fly kites in the spring and go to free movies all summer and run the dog even in the late afternoon feeling safe even when I was alone I could wear a head phone with no concerns. Lots of moms and kids always. Pokémon is also popular here. They have tons of trails and nice spots to take pictures. A+ for bikes.
We had a birthday party in the Green Room. The room had a nice e view and an adequate serving kitchen.
Awesome amphitheater, great for outdoor movies, community events, and fundraisers.
Great park needs some community service trash pick ups around the creek
Good music, good times, good food. Safe, fun and clean!
Great venue for outdoor concerts! Plenty of room!
We go for leisure, exercise and entertainment. From our experience, it is always well manicured and kept clean. They do a good job at keeping great entertainers rotating the stage. One suggestion if possible, screens for the shows. Sometimes its hard to see when the crowd is up and jumping. It would be cool to be able to see the band you paid to see without having to go to extremes or place yourself in the thick of it. My husband HATES drunk people bouncing up against him all night and stepping on his feet. And all for what? A temporary/removable screen would be super swell. Thank you for listening.
Great family friendly concert
