Excellent location near many attractions and trails! Very clean place with extremely comfy beds. We stay with Super 8 often when we travel, and I wish they were all this comfortable! There was even a mountain view from our room window. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay here again. Rooms: Super comfortable pillowtop mattress with very soft, comfortable bedding! Everything was very clean.
Rooms need updated and made sure they are cleaned all the way. I had to clean the shower myself after there was a dirty washcloth in there and hair still in the tub looks like maybe they just forgot I don't know. Nice for a one night stay for cheap I guess. We stayed two nights wish I would of been able to cancel.Rooms: 1/5
Great location. Well kept room, all amenities were working and clean. Decent shower water pressure. Internet a little spotty, needs improvement. Stayed for 1 night, was a good stay overall. Nearby activities: Royal Gorge Train and hiking area Food & drinks: Village Inn was a nice breakfast spot. Very tasty
It was a great stay! The room was clean! The breakfast was good! The parking is safe! The front desk was amazing! We enjoy our stay even though only one night! Horrible experience. We are elderly and was supposed to have a handicapped room, instead they put us upstairs and told us to rent a different motel if we didn’t want that room knowing it was the 4th of July weekend. They had no elevator and I had to use my cane because I couldn’t use my Walker on the stairs. My heart was pounding from my A-fib by the time we got to the room and we couldn’t even take a shower because of no handicapped bars. We couldn’t go to dinner or leave the room until we checked out the next morning.
I worked in the area and stayed here. Once I left my card was charged almost 200$ I didn’t find out until weeks later. The fact that he didn’t notice he had 200$ extra dollars is very, very, very, fishy to me. Will not be back. I emailed and asked for a receipt and I got no reply. No wonder hw asked me to book through himmanager and not Expedia. Definitely check your accounts after checkout so not cool
BLACK MOLD. Brown scum ring, pubic hairs, dried boogers and a layer of slime on the tub. It hasn’t been cleaned in a LOOOOOONG time. Spare yourself the pain and skip this place.
Love the location. Not only is the view beautiful, but it's conveniently located right down the street from a Walmart with a good restaurant right across the parking lot. Definitely making this my go-to stop when traveling to this area.Rooms: 5/5
The Canon City super 8 hotel was okay. Given a negative experience with a nearby hotel, this was certainly an improvement. This hotel was not without its flaws but at the price point the floss seemed acceptable. The beds were pillow top mattresses and comfortable. The walking path through the room was vacuumed and cleaning up to not dirty the bottom of our socks. They share with ottoman, larger than average fridge, and desk with chair we're all fine. Shortcomings would include a TV that did not respond well to the remote. A lack of any channel guide on any TV channel or paper within the room. On our second night I opened the microwave and found a 12 inch Subway sub sitting in it from the previous guest. It had obviously been there a while. When we drop something and tried to look under furniture for it we noticed excessive accumulation of random items and dirt. The windows were quite dirty. Nevertheless, at this price point it provided a comfortable place to sleep with a reasonably clean bathroom.
Place was clean, room was excellent. Obviously has good maid service. Check-in was average, however, mobile check-in was a waste of time. No TV menu, so guesswork on what to watch. Hotel is on frontage road, so a bit awkward to get to. Other than that, very nice stay.Rooms: 4/5
