Its good and more than decently portioned. I think people hyped it up too much for me. BUT its definitely worth the try if you are in the area! It does get rather busy quickly but service is friendly and wait isnt too long.Food: 4/5
Alaskan Cod Taco is like a salad and a taco in one. I’m still not sure how your supposed to eat that taco, but I got my way through in a messy and delicious fashion. The produce is exceptionally fresh and the fish as well. The sauce on top is the coup de grâce. The ceviche is quite delicious as an accompaniment, but not necessary with how HUGE the taco plate is. I’m already planning on trying the Baja Tacos next time…. That’s if I don’t try one of their succulent sounding specials!
The portions are large. The chips were okay, the fish taco plate was huge, and the poke taco special was super sus, wouldn’t recommend, and to be perfectly honest, we won’t be back. Nothing special and not worth $30 a person. Honestly, you might wanna grab Taco Bell if you’re considering this spot. If you wanna have a beer, burrito and listen to music then sure this might be it, but for us, we started saying, well, it can’t be worse than taco temple.
Came here after reading some reviews and since my wife and I were staying at the Inn next door we came in for a late dinner after traveling for over 2 hours. I really wanted to eat as much local seafood as possible in the next few days, so I ordered the Lingcod taco. It was lots of food, splitting between my wife and myself. It was more like a salad than tacos, but that was okay because it was delicious. Their salsas were amazing, really fresh ingredients despite it being almost 8p, and the fish was perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place to all how travel here to Morro Bay.
Ordered a special. Scallop taco. It was delicious. Order at the counter and they everything to you. Chips were crunchy and salsa was great as well. Finished off with some shared deserts with family because we couldn't decide on one. They make them in house and you cannot go wrong with your choice.Food: 5/5
I've been to the SLO Taco Temple which is big. This Morro bay location was not as big but it was busy. The atmosphere was happy, loud, and just fun. The staff looked happy and were very nice. Bring refills and asking if we needed more of anything. The best drink was the pink lemonade. They offered to put sugar on the rim, which I declined, but was surprised by. What a nice feature. My Nachos were great and my husband enjoyed his sweet potatoes enchiladas. Thank you Morro Bay Taco Temple! Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for wheelchair access and there is also outdoor lighting for outside dining.
I got there for lunch just ahead of the rush. While enjoying my ahi poke street tacos, I watched as the crowd arrived and things got very busy very quickly. But the staff handled everything beautifully. Very impressive. The menu's variety was great and portions were generous. It actually was too much food for me but that's what take-out boxes are for, right? Although I had a Coke with my meal, I'll be checking out their beer selection on my next visit. But I indulged in dessert and had a delicious flan. Parking: They share the business lot with a local grocery store. The restaurant is on the corner of the lot and the grocery store is in the back. In addition to parking around the perimeter of the restaurant, there is plenty of parking surrounding the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs and entry ways looked wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. I don't know how easy it would be to get to the bathroom, though, since I didn't use that facility.
Delicious food and the staff are amazing! Stopped by on the way through and wasn’t disappointed. Very good value for the price.
I had the calamari tacos and my husband had the Seabass tacos. The plate was overflowing with yumminess, great flavors and nice texture. The Tres leches looked very good, and it was very tasty because my husband would not share. He ate it all up and the carrot cake! Oh my goodness it was a humongous slice but well worth it. I am so happy we found this place. dining is super casual and the folks there are so friendly on my visit here to Morror Bay I will most definitely come to this place again !
I absolutely have to get the poke ahi street tacos...they are the best I have ever had. The nachos are excellent and the fried pickles are da-bomb-diggity. The people and service top notch. The view of the rock and ocean are the best anywhere. And the soundtrack playing over the restaurant speakers made at the quintessential beach taco shack experience.
