Love the campgrounds but they seriously need to upgrade the bathhouse and bathrooms. The grounds were not kept mowed and had tall grass even on the campsites. The camp host was very nice.

Beautiful place to spend the week, friendly hosts, very clean. Electric and water at every site, and great access for fishing.
This is a nice, quiet and clean campground. It is small but still has swingsets for the kids. The bathrooms were clean, but one of the sinks in the men's room was not working. There is a separate shower room one for each gender with just one shower, it is not small or cramped. The tent sites all seem to have a slight slope to them, it was hard for us to find enough flat ground to pitch our tents on one site. They all are pretty small sites. They are next to the river which was scenic but it was difficult to get down to the water at our site for fishing. The site we had site 16 was electric, and it had two electric outlets. Be sure to bring a long extension cord to reach your tent. There was a water spigot on our site too which made it easy to clean things boots, dishes, etc, I think most of the sites have water spigots. The site had plenty of space to park two cars. The campground host was very friendly and made regular trips around the campground. Firewood had to be bought at the nearby store, but small sticks were easy to find. The nearby beach was small but easy to get to, lots of parking, and had red sand. The water was warm and not crowded for our August trip. The kids had a blast there. The sand wasn't deep, maybe a foot at the most. Overall we liked our stay there.
Campsite #38 is a little piece of heaven on earth...bathroom is 50steps from site..great fishing spot 50 yards from site....The couple at the check in were sweet people....Quite n peaceful....Great Memories for Our Geezers Camping Trip....very clean place well taken care of....
Nasty bathrooms in the camping area . Kids all in the street no supervision. Would not get out of the street to drive by. Place is over grown with grass and watch out for all the huge ants . This place has went down hill badly !
Went camping with family at the beginning of October. They turned the water and electricity off we knew this prior to getting there, but after we had booked I can understand water. But why the electricity? Great fishing, probably would have been better without all the gar around. But still had a variety of fish for a fish fry. Camp sites are very close together but clean.
Had a blast fishing in the ever changing tailwaters, i caught a really nice blue cat!
