A wonderful way to spend some time during your stay in Tampa. Kids of all ages from young to old will enjoy the adventure at MOSI - Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry. You will meet directly at the museum, get checked in and then it is time to explore!
MOSI is home to Florida's only IMAX theater, featuring 340 seats and an 82-foot hemispherical movie screen system, unsurpassed in quality with its specially-designed six-channel, multi-speaker sound system. Also, MOSI's newest addition, The Saunders Planetarium features a new projection dome and a state-of-the-art star projection system capable of recreating the night sky in 20 seconds or less! The Children's Science Center at MOSI, is the largest children's science center in the nation. It is a hands-on gallery space designed for young children and participating adults to discover and learn through play by merging science, creative thinking, and imagination. Kids in Charge! is divided into four main experience areas with specific interactive experiments and projects: Activate!, working with gravity and momentum; Investigate!, teaching observation and analysis; Kids Create!, designing and building; and Fields to Meals, learning about farming and food distribution.
The Amazing You, MOSI's newest permanent educational, interactive exhibition, explores the amazing human body, in its 13,000 square-foot exhibitions about health, wellness, and life stages.
For a truly unique experience, MOSI's high-wire bike offers guests an opportunity to test physics by pedaling a bicycle across a 1-inch cable suspended 30 feet in the air. After this breath-taking adventure, take a rest in the Coleman Science Works Theater, a high-tech, multi-purpose theater that creates a scientific interactive audience experience.
When it's time to head outdoors, enjoy the wildlife in MOSI's Back Woods, full of 47 acres of interactive environmental exhibits, including compass trails, a boardwalk, a sinkhole, populations of gopher tortoises, and a variety of plant and animal communities.
There is always something new to discover at MOSI. After your exploration of the museum, you may make your way back to your cruise ship or Tampa hotel at your leisure and own expense.
A voucher will be sent in a separate email than your e-ticket. This voucher must be printed and brought with you to give to the local operator. Without the voucher in hand, you will not be allowed to do the excursion.
