Relationships are complicated. Life circumstances can leave us feeling hopeless. Discovering new ways to connect with your own feelings, connect with loved ones and live a fulfilling life can be possible. Imagine having a tough conversation with your spouse and feeling closer and more understood instead of hurt and angry. Picture feeling confident that you will be okay and have the coping skills needed to handle your situation.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a scientifically proven method for working with couples. It improves the attachment bond and helps to create more satisfying relationships. Couples often find that they feel more loved and more supported when each learns how to bond with their partner in healthy ways. Couples can gain a deep understanding and emotional connection with each other. Often parenting and family dynamics improve too! I am trained in EFT and use this method when working with couples.
Many of the struggles we have are connected. When coming in as an individual we will work together towards becoming aware of your motivations, choices and patterns of behavior. This is an important part of growth and reaching your goals. We will work towards making discoveries about yourself, improving relationships and addressing issues that you desire to focus on.
