Teen Science Cafes are gatherings of teens and professional experts who engage in conversations about intriguing STEAM topics in an informal social setting
WHO: Teens interested in learning about new and exciting STEAM topics (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math)
WHAT: A FREE opportunity to hear a real life scientist speak about an innovative topic and participate in a related hands-on activity.
WHEN: Third Friday of every month, 5:00-6:30 pm

MORE INFO: Teen Science Cafe brings teens together in a non-formal setting to learn about science and other STEAM topics. Each Cafe includes a real life scientist or professional expert who speaks on topics chosen by our teen leadership committee. An interactive activity relating to the discussion and time to chat with the guest speaker and other teens are also part of this FREE program.
Teen Science Cafes give teens a rich and new perspective about the nature of science and helps them to see scientists/professionals as real people who lead interesting lives.The programs complement topics teens learn in school by providing 'real world' meanings.
Scientists who have presented at Teen Science Cafes report that the experience has led them to think in a new way about the significance of their own research.
