We are a wholesale bakery specializing in breads that are made of natural or organic ingredients, are free of preservatives and additives, and are crafted in traditional methods involving yeast starters and sourdough.
The Bread Stop began as a little café, pizzeria, and bakery on Willamette Street, Eugene, in 1986. In the early 1990s wholesale production operations were set up and The Bread Stop began supplying local markets with several varieties of fresh organic bread.
Today, The Bread Stop Bakery partners with over 80 natural grocers, markets and restaurants in the Eugene, Springfield, Ashland, Corvallis, Portland and Oregon Coast areas. Together we provide fresh, healthy breads to families and communities throughout the state.
At The Bread Stop Bakery, we seek out high quality ingredients for our bread and never use any artificial additives or preservatives. We strive to buy local, organic, and small-producer items whenever possible. We are proud to partner with Oregon wheat farmers and Camas Country Mill (camascountrymill.com) to produce bread made from whole wheat and other grains that are grown and milled here, in Oregon.
We are locally owned and we still use our original sourdough starters from the café days. We rely on our staff of 9 bakers to shape and roll our artisan breads rather than machines.

The Bread Stop Bakery offers a wide variety of products including breads, pizza dough, granola, cookies and hummus-style garbanzo spreads. The Bread Stop offers approximately 60 bakery produced products and supplies approximately 10 large chain stores, 30 independently operated stores, and 55 wholesale restaurants in numerous Oregon cities reaching from Portland to Ashland, and Eugene to the Oregon Coast.
