Ordered her cakes for my wedding last weekend and I loved the flavors! They were a hit! Only thing leftover was our cake for cutting but even that was slim pickings lol For reference I got the snickerdoodle, cookie dough, red velvet, vanilla, and lemon blueberry flavors. Also main cake was absolutely beautiful! I can't recommend enough!
We ordered our cake and cupcakes from here for our wedding on June 20, 2020. The owner was overall helpful although at times there were communication delays/issues. We we're upset that we were not able to do a to go tasting due to COVID despite offering a few other options for pickup as we live 3.5 hours away and were having a destination wedding. We offered a few alternate dates and times to do the to go tasting as we were going to be in town and were even willing to extend our stay in order to pick up the cupcakes. We ended up getting our cupcakes through the mail, which was not a good experience. The cupcakes came in terrible condition due to the delivery service. The owner truly felt bad about the situation and showed that she cared and was unhappy with how the delivery went. She even offered us a free anniversary cake, which was appreciated but still did not change the fact that our tasting was not ideal. We would have preferred to choose our cupcake choices for the tasting as we did not end up ordering any of the ones that were chosen for us for the tasting. She did give us a refund on 5 dozen cupcakes as well as we ended up having our guest list go from 135 people to 50. We liked our cake but it was small and not exactly how we imagined it to be. Overall, the cake and cupcakes tasted great!
Today was the first day trying anything of theirs. They hosted a pie and beer pairing with a local brewery. The beer was great but the pies were sad, salty, and appeared to be uncooked. The blueberry was not even edible. Avoid at all costs.
Fantastic little bakery! We got there in the afternoon and didn't really have much of a choice in flavors but we tried the birthday cake chocolate batter and icing and cho6with peanut butter icing. DELICIOUS!!! I should have come here earlier! Great place for some yummy treats and one of a kind gifts from Miss Molly's!
I brought my Grandson to The Confectionary today and he had a cupcake chocolate with chocolate frosting and he gave them the thumbs up and said it was delicious. The staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed our visit. Support small business. I love how our downtown is growing
My niece lives in Lancaster and had her 1st birthday a few days ago. As her very loving aunt who enjoys spoiling her rotten, I wanted to get her a special birthday cake and I wanted to use a local Lancaster business. A Google search led me to the Confectionary. I sent a few emails back and forth with pictures and details of what I had in mind and could not have been happier when I picked it up. It looked absolutely adorable I had a smaller "smash cake" made and then a larger section for everyone else to eat. Logistical challenges with lodging prevented us from having our family party, so a smaller group of us we ended up having the smash cake at Rising Park and then divvied up the large cake for people to take home to their respective states. Everyone who was able to try it said it was delicious. I will definitely go back for return business!
She was a nice person to work with but I was overall unhappy with the wedding cake she made for us. It didn’t look or taste good. It fell apart when we cut it. Tasted dry and old. The layers were lopsided and the icing was sheer and that was not the look I wanted.
Although the store was cute, the cupcakes were very small given their unrealistic price- not to mention they were dry, and the icing was hard and cheaply applied. I’m all for supporting small businesses but there are better options in downtown Lancaster.
The cupcakes the confectionery made for my daughter's graduation were amazing!! Omg everyone loved them! They did a wonderful job and they tasted soo good! Highly recommend this bakery!
Absolutely amazing experience all around. From making the order, and having all my questions answered, to a gorgeous cake that tasted as good as it looked. I will recommend to anyone looking for sweet treats!!!!!
