The Fralin Docents lead engaging tours for art museum visitors. Please like our page & visit us on Instagram @thefralinstudentdocents!
Docents at The Fralin lead engaging and interactive tours for groups from across the central Virginia region. They also assist with the Museum's special programs and contribute to the Museum’s mission by fostering an appreciation for art in visitors of all ages.
UVa students and community members who are interested in becoming docents must enroll in the Museum's Docent Training Course, offered each semester. Participants in the course develop observational skills and knowledge of the elements of art through investigation of the Museum's collections and current exhibitions, learn public speaking skills and techniques for facilitating tours, and complete a qualifying tour at the end of the course.
