Have been shopping at this Home Depot since late 2013. Good selection of shelf items. Ordered new carpet for several rooms at one time and the installers did fine. There was a gal who worked electrical and plumbing that could find anything for me! She was awesome. Still, the staff has always been helpful. I don't live in the area anymore, but am here every year as my parents live in Canon and I'm shopping here several times as I help them with their house maintenance.
The abysmal customer service offered at the Canon city location should be noted by anyone wishing to place a special order or anything that requires intelligence in procuring. If it’s convenient and something on the shelf than fine otherwise go elsewhere. The only bright spot was John who offered some info. Garage door ordered and paid for April 11, 2023. Order canceled and refunded September 8, 2023 by me for non-performance.
A couple of years ago I rated this same place much higher. Last couple of times I have been in there, customer service has been horrible. There are some really good folks who work at this store, but they are few and far between. The manager should spend some time managing their people.
This morning around 8am my husband went to the store to buy 13 rolls of Grass,and around 10am we came back to buy 22 more rolls,so my husband stands outside waiting for me to go inside to check out , I went to the cashier and told her that I’d like to buy 22 rolls of Grass ,she told me that she is not sure that they have enough,and told me go outside to bring the grass roll into the store for check it out, so I went outside grabbed 1 roll and bring inside,she said she is not allowed to check out for 22 rolls of grass when I just bring inside 1, and told me go outside grab 22 rolls of grass,I know every store has their own policy,but to grab 22 rolls of grass to bring inside for check out is so complicated,1 is no problem but 22 of them is way too heavy for me..I’m appreciate if she suggest that she can check out 22 rolls of grass for us and then send someone to go outside with us to count on it with us. I’m not here to complain but just want to bring my opinion for a better customers service. Thank you!
Huge store with all your needs for home repair and gardening. An assortment of tools and supplies for whatever project you may be working on. Ont forget to visit their garden center for supplies and house plants too. Wide open aisles for convenience while shopping. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very highly recommend this store for your needs.
Came here looking for some dog friendly plants. A large majority of the indoor plants are unsafe, extremely toxic, or extremely deadly to dogs. We did decide on a tree that can cause mild issues for a our dog. But we will be keeping her separate from it. I wish that corporate would put something on their plants especially indoor plants about whether they're safe with dogs, cats, or other house pets. Maybe a qr code. Just because everyone we asked seemed very underwhelmed and could care less about what we were looking for and told us to use google. If you ever want to waste 45 minutes of your life searching for safety features of plants go to Home Depot.
I've been in a dozen different Home Depots across 4 states. They all have similar footprints and selections, however it's the staff that makes it or breaks it. I had ordered a yard cart by phone for pickup, from a team member who spent 10 minutes researching and making sure that the item I wanted was indeed in stock. There was only one unit and I had driven from Raton, NM to Pueblo only to discover that they had none and Canon City was the nearest store that did. The young folks who staffed the "Will Call" section were amazingly friendly and efficient. They even loaded the heavy Gorilla Wagon into my pickup before I could even lend a hand. Nice folks for sure.
Went in to get drywall only to find out you can’t pull into the lumber yard to load it anymore and zero employees offered to help get 4’ X 12’ sheets of drywall onto the cart or into the truck bed. Either reopen the drive through section so I don’t have to move the same supplies twice and risk hurting myself or have employees load supplies onto the cart and into the truck bed in the parking lot!! I think I’ll go to Ace for the lumber yard now.
I put stars for the fact that the in store is ok the downfall is placing a large order for my business and it’s been nothing but delays and getting transferred to another store I’m out a couple thousand on equipment because they couldn’t get the order delivered on time now we’re two weeks past I will never place a large order in your store again
The ladies I spoke with on the phone were great! I needed to fix an order I made online and they were able to cancel it and resubmit it on their end so that everything would be delivered correctly. Thank you guys so much!!!
