The Hummingbird Cafe

This is a really cool place. Lots of nooks and crannies places to sit. This day they seemed short staffed, but seems to be a problem many places. Eggs& bacon sandwich and wrap. Peach lemon aid was very tasty. Would be 5 stars if they get some help. Very worth a stop.

I wasn't expecting to fall in love a Montana breakfast wrap but I did. The food was so good I ordered more. And the service was excellent.Dine in: Yes

This cafe is like a little piece of college educated west coast vegan dropped into the time capsule that is Montana. It's definitely in my top ten restaurants ever. The gluten free vegan chocolate cake was the best I've ever had, and I've had plenty. The side salad had so many veggies and sunflower seeds which are my favorite. The house dressing was superb. The cashier is gonna be a biologist. Go get the tacos or black bean bowl and tip her and half their employees college funds. Oh yeah also tons of sandwiches, teas and coffee for normal people. Really, it's so good go here. Anyhow yeah if you're gluten free, lactose free, or vegan. You. Have. Options. Yummy. Options.

Stopped here for a drink and honestly it felt a bit off. The place was not full, however, the environment felt hectic. I was asked to seat in a different table because the server said “I rather not have to clean that table now”. My chai was super powdery. Overall, I was not impressed and would not advise stopping here if you are on road trip.

Fabulous food and service. We had breakfast here before departing Butte. The server was very friendly and helped us navigate the menu. Plenty of gluten free options for those that need them. The breakfast sandwiches were excellent! Coffee was perfect. If we ever get the chance to return to Butte, this will be a definite place we will revisit.

A cute cafe recommended to us by a local. There are some really terrific vegetarian and vegan options, and on my trip to MT I am unused to having multiple choices for veggie foods, let alone good ones. It was the first time in a while I had to think about what to order! I ended up getting the breakfast wrap with scrambled tofu, veggie sausage, and feta. With the breakfast potatoes and salsa it was a perfect breakfast. There was a bit of a wait on food, but we'll within what should be acceptable in a sit down restaurant, where they are making my food to order. Plus it gave us time to enjoy each other's company and the great bottomless drip coffee. I highly recommend for a leisurely and wholesome breakfast

My friends and I stopped here for lunch on our way up from Idaho to Whitefish, MT. This was one of my favorite places we ate during our 8 day trip! Amazing food, great atmosphere and staff was very friendly, service was also quick.

Nothing special about this place. I was hopeful because the interior was very pleasing to the eye and the menu seemed more interesting than most breakfast places in Butte. But the food was mediocre at best. It was almost insulting how few potatoes they put on our plates. To add insult to injury, the potatoes weren't seasoned at all. My bagel was burnt. I will not go back. And our waitress was overworked. Good waitress, but she clearly was juggling more than she should've had to. On the bright side, they have good coffee and they have vegetarian options. But I am not vegetarian so I might not return. It's not the worst place in the world to eat. But it's too pricey for what they're offering.

Great little place for breakfast or just hanging out with a cup of coffee. We visited Butte around Christmas and the cafe was within walking distance of our airbnb. I had the eggs benedict and my kid had french toast. Food was excellent and the service was great!
