Description
The Museum is open Wednesdays-Saturdays from 10:00-5:00 and features three floors of hands-on exhibits about History, Natural History, and Science. The Museum has FREE ADMISSION, but we gladly accept donations.
The Railroad Historical Center features a collection of antique train cars.
"The Museum and Railroad Historical Center has the mission of Saving, Sharing and Celebrating Greenwood History. The Museum has replicas of uptown Greenwood stores circa 1910, as well as changing seasonal exhibits that spotlight various organizations, businesses and people that have played a significant part in this small southern town's history.The Railroad Historical Center lets you journey back to the golden age of Railroads. From the 1906 Baldwin Steam engine to the 1914 Executive 'Carolina' car, you will see some of the most beautiful train restorations in the Southeast. The Center is open Saturdays form 10:00 am to 4:00 pm from May through September. Or you an arrange a special tor any time during the year. Just call 86-229-7093."
