Very nice outdoor museum. Recommend to wear a good hiking shoes and doesn’t come here when it’s a raining day. All moving dinosaurs are outdoor. A small indoor Dino dig sand pit is cute for little kids. Overall, it’s a good museum for young kids.
We love this awesome science museum!!! I, 1st went on a field trip with my daughter last year!!! This time we had a fun field trip of our own! Enjoyed the butterflies , hiking, sightseeing, animals, beautiful outdoors!!! Love that it’s a little hidden treasure! Our kids also love the little play houses! The indoor museum had so many natural collections so awesome to see!!! Will definitely come back and enjoyed every minute! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Great for adventure! If you have small kids, I’d recommend good walking shoes for them sunscreen and water. It’s a very good place to go hiking. If that’s what you’re into you see nature and just the smell out there. It’s just pure amazing. It’s hard to find places that have that amount of greenery nowadays so it honestly was a breath of fresh air
Fun outing - even the free areas as you approach the building. The group of taxidermy animals inside the entrance is nice. Consider bringing a drink if it’s hot and you are walking on trails.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
Love hiking on the trails with the family. The dinosaurs are okay, but the kids enjoy spotting deer more, which there are a few. Found 9 on the last visit and got to see the large Sycamore tree for the first time. Recommend giving it a shot.
Kids loved the nature, the science and the hike Quite an atypical museum, as it's mixed as a nature preserve- but that's what we loved about it. Instead of running around from screen to screen, this was real and authentic So glad we got reciprocal membership
Sick a fun place to take the kids where they can't break anything! The dinosaurs are really neat!Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$11–15
We love the Heard! It's perfect for an outing for toddlers through elementary for the small museum and attractions outside they have some animals, a garden, and at various times of year dinos and butterflies too!. For all ages, we love the hiking trails and the conservation education that happens here. We come back again and again.Wait timeNo wait
Wow! I’m so impressed with this beautiful place! They have amazing trails, animals, dinosaurs, fossils, lakes, and ponds. It’s definitely worth the money and I recommend it to anyone and everyone. We also saw 2 wild deer walk along the trails. This sighting really enhanced the quality of our visit.Wait timeNo wait
Much bigger place than I imagined. Great trails and easy to find wildlife. Update 4/27/23: Last time was about deer and waterfowl. This time was the reptiles. I photographed a green snake, 3 different lizards, and a bunch of turtles.
