"A few years back we opened "The Shack" next to a gas station on Hwy 550.Some called it Crane’s, some the bus stop, but everyone who came knew they would most likely be greeted by For 40+ years none other than Melba. Many stopped for gas, a tan, or a bus ticket- but many stopped by just for a visit.Not long after the shack was added, time came for Melba My Mom to retire and I move the restaurant into the old gas station. With 2 buildings, we have adjusted and learned along the way. The small little shack still sits next door, but it was time to give the old store a new face.The main restaurant, Melba's Place invites you to come on in, have a meal and perhaps share some of your stories about Melba. To know her is to love her."
