Good food. Great atmosphere. Wish there was more chicken stuff on the menu since its called the crooked rooster, really wanted a spicy chicken sandwich but I got the poutine which was delicious. Was a mix of Asian, bbq, and Canadian, so good.
Great place for quick, delicious comfort food. Great for take out. Close to the rail trail.
I loved this place! I wish I had taken pics, the decor is awesome. Big checkers table, a few areas with comfy couches, regular lunch tables/booths. The menu is amazing. I believe they were just finishing renovations, so it was a new menu. The smothered chips cheese curds, bacon, scallions were so good, I couldn't stop eating them. Portions are generous, but not crazy. You definitely feel like you got your money's worth. I had one of their salads, and it was flavorful and fresh. I can't wait to go back.
I really want to love The Crooked Rooster! The employees are friendly and the atmosphere is very fun and relaxed. The menu has a lot of unique items and there are daily specials. Unfortunately, the taste of the food is really hit or miss. When it's good, it's really yummy, but sometimes things come out bland or just off in flavor or texture. I'll keep coming back once in a while, but if their food was a little more consistent I'd be there all the time.
Excellent food. The BBQ beef wrap was delicious. So glad we decided to give it a try.
Excellent customer service and yummy food. We came here during a short lunch break. It was our first time and the woman at the counter explained how the menu worked there are a ton of customizable options! She also gave us suggestions based on popularity. The food was brought out to us in a matter of 10 or 15 minutes if that and it was delicious and hot. I ordered the Garlic Ginger bowl with brown rice and grilled salmon. The sauce was sweet and spicy and the salmon steak was cooked perfectly. The portion was large enough to have for another meal too! We will definitely be coming back.
I have eaten at the Crooked Rooster twice now, and both times I really enjoyed the experience. I say experience because this is a very unusual, funky place to eat. The first thing you notice when you walk in is that it is one giant open area with very high exposed ceilings. The dining room is made up of a wide variety of tables & chairs ... all of different shapes, styles & sizes, including a few that are actual surfboards! There is a surfing theme going on with a lot of the wall decor as well although I'm not sure how that connects to the Crooked Rooster thing. The food is also very good. The menu is written in chalk on the giant wall behind the counter, and mainly consists of interesting sandwiches made with chicken, fish, BBQ, and more. There are also main courses and lots of interesting salads to choose from. What separates the Rooster from similar places that sell sandwiches & salads is the quality of the ingredients they use. The meats are of high quality and the sauces and spreads they make are prepared and flavored in a way you would expect from a fancier restaurant. All in all, it's a great, fun place to eat. The kicker for my sons was the foosball table they have!
Such wonderful, creative food in a slightly weird setting. It looks like they are remodeling. I hope they lose the playground feel. Back to the food- quinoa, rice and noodle bowls, sandwiches, home made chips and gorgeous salads. Not inexpensive, but worth the price. Love them.
Food is amazing!!! The grilled chicken sandwich is mouthwatering heaven. They make their own ice cream sandwiches and are delicious. Such a great atmosphere for kids. I have even had a few parties here!!!!!
Got the beef brisket, it was awesome!! Very tender. You get a 1/2 a pound and 2 sides were 12 bucks. The collar greens were great. I recommend anyone in the area to try it out.
