Our Church holds a belief that spirits of the dead have both the ability and the desire to communicate with the living. These two beliefs: that contact with spirits is possible, and that spirits are more advanced than humans, leads us to a third belief, that spirits are capable of providing useful knowledge about moral and ethical issues, as well as about the nature of God or Great Spirit.
We believe in and trust our spirit-guides or other specific spirits that we have contact with. We always use our own intuition and Divine gifts, but we do rely upon our spirit guides/guardian angels for spiritual guidance. There is also a belief in reincarnation.
Most Christians see Jesus as their Savior. If they confess their sins and believe upon him, they are saved and will enter heaven. We see Jesus as the Master Teacher. We believe in God, although the premise is different. We accept God as Infinite Intelligence - neither male nor female, but Divine Energy of unlimited knowledge in all matters.
We believe and affirm through our Declaration of Faith that we are responsible for our actions and the results we receive because of those actions. We do not believe in hell.
This is more than a church, this is not a religious place, this is a place of spirituality, of love, acceptance and healing. As community of spiritual beings who come together to grow, to learn, to worship, to heal and to find wonderful like minded people to fellowship with
So, we would like to invite you to give us a try. Come join us for a class, a Sunday morning healing service, a drumming circle or one of our many classes, workshops or activities and see if you don't also find that this is a place where you can feel at home.
The Bible is full of examples of spirit communication and mediumship. The fact is, the founder of Christianity Himself, Jesus, performed some of the most powerful acts of spirit communication in history; if he were alive today, we would consider him an extraordinarily gifted medium. By doing so, Jesus violated the Old Testament laws against mediumship, but that was nothing out of the ordinary for Jesus. Jesus often violated Old Testament laws, for example, by breaking Sabbath laws and disregarding kosher dietary laws. The examples of Jesus’ mediumship are too numerous to cover them all. Mediumship is described as either physical or mental and Jesus displayed to ability to do both. Here’s a few examples you can look up:
Mark 6:45-51 -- Daniel 5:5-6 -- Matthew 17: 1-8 -- Luke 19: 28-35 -- John 20: 18-20, 24-29 --
These are just a few examples of Jesus engaging in spirit communication and mediumship in the Bible. His disciples continued these practices after Jesus ascended into the Spirit World forty days after his crucifixion. Mediumship and spirit communication have been an integral part of Christianity beginning with Jesus, continuing with his apostles and the early Christians, and can still be experienced in our “Spirit-filled” church today.
A spiritual path that honors the Earth is one that takes time to honor the changing of the seasons, honors and recognizes that we are not the only intelligent beings on this planet and that all of creation deserves to be honored and recognized as unique, and worthy of that honor. We commune with the energies of Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit.
This way of life does not say you must give up all other beliefs to honor this path. It is a way of life that is complementary to all walks of life and all spiritual paths. We desire to be open and always evolving in our spiritual lives to grow and enhance as Mother Earth is always evolving, growing and changing.
We believe that all roads lead to the same place but have many different names.
