If you care anything about surfing or wish to call yourself a surfer, do yourself and the curators a solid and visit this one-of-a-kind homage to surfing, where you can see WSL championship boards and walk through the entire history of surfing from past to present. I'm from Santa Cruz, CA, where we are proud to have a small surfing museum, but it pales compared to what they have assembled here. Truly spectacular!
What a great history of surfing in the San Clemente to Huntington Beach area. Amazing as was Hal a walking ...talking.... historian of this museum. So many boards and their history. They have a calandar of upcoming activities that encompass so much about surfing...the greats of surfing the REAL surf boards from the eras past....take the time to see this great place....talk with Hal. You'll feel like you were there! Great!!
Biggest place ,intersection of surfing’ past present and future great exhibits activities events and shop
We came up from San Diego for the Big Wednesday book signing. I was amazed at the number of classic boards and memorabilia on display. All of the people there were super nice and ready to answer any questions. Denny Aaberg was there to sign his book and Peter Townend was there to tell some really cool stories about the making of Big Wednesday. It was a great night and well worth the drive up from SD. Great group of dedicated people!
Why aren’t more people going here?? It was really cool to see the boards of Carissa Moore, John John Florence, & Tyler Wright They have so many boards and cool artifacts from surfing history. Really enjoyed visiting here!
Very cool display and history of surfing. Loved the tour and learning about the history, especially the local surf icons.
Cool museum! We learned a ton about the history of surfing, surfboards, and iconic surfers. We also went for an event hosted by Groundswell and Sandy Feet Initiative.
Lots of great memorabilia, surf boards from every era, great photos and goodies to buy.
The most comprehensive collection of surf craft and history available for public view. They also provide a meeting place for all surf & ocean related groups. Definitely a must see for anyone who loves the ocean.
An incredible collection of Surfboards and Surfing History / Memorabilia. Assemblage is superb in both breadth and depth. A 'Must See' for all Surfers and Beach-lovers!
