The Century Deerwood Park is a great place to live. The management staff is friendly, and maintenance handles issues promptly and effectively. It has pretty good amenities and the grounds are kept relatively clean, as staff/contractors? are always busy working to maintain the grounds. I’ve only ever had one issue in my 5 years of living here, and corporate was able to help me get it resolved. Aside from that, the surrounding community is nice and quiet, and you have quick access to a lot of things - the Town Center, restaurants, movie theaters, gyms etc.
Overall, my experience has been great. My move-in was quick and easy. They allowed me to do a walk through a day before moving in. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. You do have the option of renting garages and/ or storage units. Be aware there may be a waiting list for your building The complex is overall quiet, even with the many dogs. As far as complaints, I hate that I wasn’t able to bring my own washer and dryer. Their machines are more on the outdated side. It takes 2 hours literally to dry a small load of clothes … also my dryer eventually stopped working and been waiting a week for maintenance to come check it, meanwhile my laundry is soaked. The gate doesn’t work which in my opinion takes value from the “luxury living”. From observation i think we are the only complex on gate parkway without working gates. Why charge for gate keys when I never received them and/or if the gate doesn’t work. At least add an up/down arm to give the feel of the gated community we are paying for. The office staff have been helpful and very friendly. I can say I am glad they changed property managers. Wes was very unwelcoming, often seemed as if he just didn’t want to be at work and seemed bothered by questions. Would I recommend… yes. I have stayed in multiple apartments and know they all have their flaws but the ones experienced here are manageable and the staff have been willing to make your living experience better.
This community is by far one of the most gorgeous and well-maintained communities I have had the pleasure of visiting and working with! The office team always has a smile on their face and go above and beyond to ensure their residents are happy and satisfied with the place they choose to call home. The maintenance team is also very professional and reliable! Anytime I call or stop by the team makes it a point to carve out some time to discuss any services or needs and it is always a pleasure working together with such an organized team to meet the end goal......an excellent resident experience! I am so glad that Micky McElroy, Regional Maintenance Supervisor introduced me to such a Great Team!
This has been the worst 4 months of my life living in this apartment. When I first came to Century Deerwood I was amazed by the model and the amenities they had to offer. I must admit I did read the reviews and they were awful but being a former property manager I didn’t take the reviews serious. I should’ve took that as a warning sign due to the hassle it took for me to get a move in date. I was told that I would get an upgraded unit with stainless steel appliances, that was a lie. The apartment was dirty the floors have gaps in it and my shower was sinking in and water was coming out of the washer all in my first day. My stove is so old that it doesn’t get hot and the refrigerator doesn’t work properly as well. I have mold in my apartment. So they finally get around to fixing my bathroom, not knowing they would take an entire month and it’s still not completed. They left all their materials out, shower glass doors all in this small 1 bathroom I have to use daily. So imagine being a woman and not being able to shower for an entire month, I guess they said I have a separate tub so they don’t have to rush it. It’s so much going wrong in my apartment but let’s get down to the property it self. I was charged for key fobs that I didn’t get. The pool was closed the entire summer. The gated community gates are always broke. My apartment rinks of marijuana. Neighbors plays loud music from 10pm-5am non stop throughout the night. The movie theater is closed. The gym is only open during business hours. The property is always dirty with trash being outside for weeks. The maintenance lie and say they completed your work order. They have a problem with mold. They never answer the phone, so you must go to the office to speak with someone. Oh last but not least I pay $1800 for a one bedroom one bath to live in this kind of condition. Looks like I will have to contact Jacksonville Code Enforcement to make them fix everything that’s wrong with my apartment.
I had a great experience here today. The apartments are really nice, and it’s a great location! Beautiful nature all around too. Miss Selena was awesome and helpful with all our questions during the tour. Thank you!!
Creative Multicare highly recommends entering into a partnership with First Communities. We have worked with them over many years, providing their customers with services such as carpet, plumbing/jetting, resurfacing and restorative care. This includes their properties covering both the Florida and Georgia regions. First Communities displays their level of excellence and dedication to their clients, customers and vendors with a high level of integrity and respect. Their care, communication and expertise really set the standard in the property management industry for going the extra mile and leading by example. They truly hit the mark for going above and beyond for their customers.
The communication is poor. I maybe only emailed and got a response once from someone named Brittany from the office, but that was it and this was weeks ago. If someone is interested in your community or units, the least you can do is be considerate and maintain communication.
Wow! Is the first thing comes to my mind when I think of my apartment at Century Deerwood Park! When I walked through my apartment for the first time my eyes filled with tears! My “home” felt like they took special attention to each detail to make it personally fitting for me. I was blown away!! I arrived too early for the walk through but the office staff and maintenance was very professional and courteous and allowed me access to my home. The home was so clean and beautiful! I truly felt like they knew I had just experienced a traumatic loss in my family and they prepared a home for me to find comfort and peace! Thank you to entire staff at Century Deerwood Park, you provide in my home more than you know!!! JB.
Updated review: Overall if you’re thinking about moving here, I would do it. The apartments are beautiful. I had no problems moving into my unit. Neighbors have been great. Maintenance is quick and very professional. We love being here already. The property manager is really trying to make things work and deserves a lot of credit as do the maintenance team and his leasing staff. Great place to live!!
The community is clean and all the office staff are very friendly. All requests are always responded to in a timely manner. Upgrades are being made around the community and it’s been very nice living here. Also the gate has been fixed which is a huge plus.
