Park upgrades in progress. We arrived and found we could choose our own spot in the newly developed area of the park. The parking slab was long enough to allow our 34’ class C, with the attached trailer, to back in and still park the Toyota FJ in front of the RV while keeping all our wheels off the grass. . There is plenty of grass around the new sites but trees haven’t made their way in yet. Enjoy the sunshine. The laundry facility in the new area was not operational when we were there but looks like it’s coming along well. The campground staff was friendly and we enjoyed looking over the monthly schedule and participating in some of the activities. There are two large pools. One typically draws the younger crowd while that the more mature folks enjoy the serene waters of the other. There is also a hot tub and kid’s wading pool. The location is amazing if you want to head over to The Disney Resort Parks as well. It’s located about a half hour away.
Very nice. Very clean. Park. Has a nice hot tub. However, there seems to be a constant supply of kids in their unattended by adults. Some as young as three or four. And wearing goggles and masks and swimming underwater in the hot tub, please. The park needs to put a better sign up saying that no small children or something of the effect of no one under 18 would be best
We just left today after a ~2 week stay and my feelings on this park are conflicted. The good: I like that we were allowed to pick our own site here. We were meeting people here so we were able to choose a site pretty close, and we ended up with awesome immediate neighbors to boot. The bathrooms, pools, and playground were all clean. The sites are big and without obstacles making it easy to get backed in. The park was pretty central to a lot of stores, restaurants, Disney, etc. The bad: The lights! Please everyone that has lights on their rig or in their yard, turn them off at a reasonable time! Or choose something easier on the eyes than the glaringly bright, headache inducing blue that was most common. There were very few trees in the park, and even fewer that were tall enough to cast useful shade. We had no trees whatsoever by us, so the only reprive from the sun was when it set behind our neighbors shed in the late afternoon. We will be visiting again in the future as we did have a overall good experience, and hope to be by the same neighbors who stay there long term.
Fantabulous. Grounds are beautiful and well kept, yet I never saw a worker doing the work that is so obvious that they do to keep the park so beautiful. Staff was very friendly and very easy to approach and talk with. Park was quiet 100% of the time and seemed that the noise level from others was no different at 2am, than it was at 2pm. We stayed in a cabin little house while family was around the corner in their 5th wheel. Cabins have all the basics to get you started, but after that, you're on your own, which was fine. Beds were great and everything was as perfect as it could have been.
We have stayed many times and are booked to come back. This is a great camp ground to stay. The staff is the greatest. They will go out of their way to help you. Every thing is 5 star except the mail room charge of $5.00 CASH ONLY for each and every piece of mail. First time i have been charged for mail. Would of given 5 star but for mail charges. Stay and have a great time with all the things there's to do in the park and out side of it..
I have stayed at this park for over a year now. When we first got our thousand trails membership I absolutely loved this park! It’s gated and the staff used to constantly drive around the park and ensure that everyone was adhering by the rules and would kick people out who didn’t follow them. That kept the peace. The decline in my enjoyment of this park recently has been a lack of upholding others to the park rules. I have had people walk on my site including their dogs, play loud music at all hours of the night, and the crowd here has just been one to avoid in general. People seem to have forgotten how to have common decency, they have no problem being loud and obnoxious for others but hate when they are called out for it. Every single time I have checked into this park you are given a copy of the rules which state clearly pet policies pets can never be left outside unattended, they must be walked on the street and never on other peoples lots, they must be kept under control including noise levels, site regulations no unsightly objects, rugs too large, loud generators etc to car parking rules. Anyone complaining about being kicked out clearly just doesn’t like following rules and should stay on land they own if they don’t want to. Unfortunately this had also extended to upkeep of the park as well. It’s just not kept as up to standards as it used to. This probably has to do with a staffing shortage which I understand so I do have grace for that. I would never be loud and disorderly, walk on someone else’s site or ever try to disturb someone else’s peace, I just wish other guests could be the same.
01/26 Update to this review: it just dropped from 2 stars down to 1 due to the canned response received. Pretty much how they respond to every unsavory review. We checked into this campground on Jan 1 for two weeks. Not the first time at this resort and we love the campground itself. Check in was easy and stress free. I can't say much for the service though. If not for the service we got, the park would have gotten 5 stars from us. First: We got to our site and no picnic table. We asked the woman who escorted us to our site if we could get a picnic table. Sure not a problem she made note and off she went. 2 or 3 days later still no picnic table so we went to the office and requested one and again they put us on the list. Never did get a picnic table. Had to steal one from neighboring vacant site a week later. Second: We had people behind us and then others with them across the street in one of the cabins. They used our site as a passthrough. Now, I don't mind if this happens from time to time but it was like a super highway with kids running through on foot and bikes and the adults did the same. We put up with this for the first 3 days and finally we asked one of the adults if they could not use our site as a passthrough as we have a dog that went crazy every time someone went through and it's just inappropriate to do. Well that didn't go well. It was a big old confrontation and almost became physical which was very uncomfortable. We wanted to make the campground aware so we went to the front desk and they gave us a complaint form to fill out and return. We did as instructed and not one person ever reached out to us to find out what happened, if everything was okay or address the people involved. It was clear to me that the campground really doesn't care. Lets pack as many people in to the campground and make as much money as possible, but let's not provide any kind of quality customer care at all. I was quite disappointed with the level of service and lack of caring.
I love so much about this resort. But, its so unfortunate that some campers dont realize how annoying their after dark lighting is!!!!!!!!! And most leave it on all night!!!!!!!! Blue, white, flashing or constant....last night a strobe light flashed in my bedroom all night. Is there someway to put this in writing that its not allowed.......sorry I have to ask.....just cant believe the ignorance of so many campers. This has been an issue for last 2 years we go to TT resorts. PLEASE HELP....AND ADDRESS THIS.!!!!!!!!!
This is the best Thousand Trails that we have stayed in. It was clean , offered many amenities and even had resident gopher tortoises! If you don’t have a toad, the recreation hall and trash bins are a long ways away.
What a wonderful campground! We stayed in the new section in a 42' class A RV with full hook up/50 amp. We enjoyed the large sites and the nice grass. If you enjoy swimming pools they have two very clean and beautiful pools. Everyday theres a great 2 hour session of volleyball! Friendly and fun for all. It seems that 1 pool is for adults, the other for kids. Mini golf is a great family activity here. There were plenty of events on their calendar to take part in also! All the staff was welcoming and very good at what they do. We loved being escorted to our site! Another great thing is that you're close to everything and anything you'd like to visit with many restaurants, salons, and multiple stores. Publix and Wal-Mart is within a couple of miles. We went to Sea World, and it was a mere 30-minute drive taking hwy 192. Don't hesitate to book this Encore RV Park.
