Couldn't be happier with this practice! When I was searching for an office I took my time and interviewed the doctors. When I met with Lara, I knew she was the best choice to partner with, when making decisions about my daughter's health. I feel like we are a team. She's the expert, but I'm the parent and she gets it. And we both want what's best for my daughter. We recently have seen Molly Demers as well and she is terrific too! They are both exceptional at what they do!
Each practitioner truly takes the time to get to know their patients and explores every aspect to reach optimum health. The office is supportive of parents making the best choices for their children and offering education along the way. I truly feel heard and respected as do my children.
Both Dr. DeMers and Lara O'Neil are exceptional in their patient care. Awesome office and staff, great care!!
Our family recently moved to CT, so we are in between health insurance. We were happy to pay in full for services. We have seen naturopaths before and have always been able to pay as a self pay client. We were immediately denied an appointment when we said we would be doing self pay. The lack of asking to give us a quote to see if we can pay, of asking what we were experiencing and immediately turning us away was a huge red flag. We look for empathy and care in our practitioners and this was sorely lacking when we called. Our insurance will be kicking in next month, and we will not being going to this practice simply for their lack of working with those uninsured, and lack of empathy for those uninsured as well. Within minutes of having this poor interaction we were able to find another naturopath who would see us— and take full payment at time of service.
Laura has been seeing my son since he was a week old, he is 4 now. I took my time choosing a provider. Someone who would be open minded to our vaccination views, someone who would use a more wholistic approach to medicine and someone who cares about their patients. That is Laura. I recommend her to everyone.
Highly recommend! I really enjoy working with Dr. DeMers. She actively listened to my story, questions, and concerns and partners with me on working toward optimal health. I plan on continuing to work with her into the future! I feel empowered and like an active participant in my own healthcare with Dr. DeMers & Thrive. The office is minimalist, warm and inviting. I loved the natural elements! I felt calm and at-home in the un-cluttered environment. Both of my visits so far have been great. One of the things I loved most about my whole experience was the entry health form. One of the questions was something along the lines of "what expectations do you have of our office?" which I really appreciated. I took it as a chance to explain that I chart my cycles with fertility awareness. This is something that many doctors do not support me on / know enough about, assuming that it's the same thing as the outdated and ineffective rhythm method, which it's not. Being able to explain this prior to my visit via the form completely alleviated any anxiety or worries I had about our first meeting and I felt empowered and happy. I also appreciated the free 10-min consult offered by Dr. DeMers - I was able to ask a few simple questions that confidently got me on-track for my first visit. Because I chart my cycles with the Symptothermal Method of fertility awareness, I knew something was off hormonally. Dr. DeMers ordered bloodwork to test my estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid panel, food sensitivities, and more. It was very thorough! We later reviewed the results and I discovered that although my thyroid is a non-issue, I do have elevated testosterone -- something that wasn't even on my radar before! Now, I'm taking the right supplements to support my hormones and I'm also actively working on my lifestyle homework: sleep, exercise / hiking, etc. I recommend Thrive anytime I talk about medical care / going to the doctor with loved ones and friends. I look forward to my next appointment and I feel supported in the changes I'm making now toward better health!
I am so thankful to have found Thrive Center for Health and have Dr. Molly DeMers guiding and directing me in living a life focused on my long term health. From day one Dr. Molly has given me insight and helpful practices to bring into my everyday life, helping my body to function optimally in the way it has been designed to function. Instead of adding medications into my life for my body to become dependent on; Dr. Molly made it clear on her goals to wanting to help my body to function well on it's own. She has successfully brought healing into my life in my most desperate of times. This is a relationship I will never take for granted. She is so kind, a genuine listener and very knowledgeable in her field of Naturopathic Medicine. I recommend her to people all of the time!
Love Dr. DeMers! The office is comfortable and inviting. She takes the time to listen and ask a lot of questions. No concern is too small. A great partner to have for your health!
