It's a nice building but not so nice undocumented rules that somehow are not posted which i think is not good or helpful at all. in every libary i have ever gone to allowed me to have a snack with my drink while i was in the facilitys on my labtop doing my studys which this library just told me well a lady at the libray told me i couldn't have my snack which were prezels nothing that can harm the books which i wasn't touching or looking at, I'm at a study table to my self this is rediculas i was told i had to go outside to eat my snack. i have a blood suger problem and have to eat small meals aka snacks every few hours why should i leave to do this when my studying is very important to me as well as my health!!!!!
The people here were pleasant and friendly. They allowed me to charge my phone and use the computer for a bit. Thank you!
Spacious and clean. Lots of parking. Drop box outside for books. Free library card upon request. Small cart contains free magazines to take home. Several staff that were very nice, helpful and polite. Lots of seating spread out to offer a place to sit, read, study, etc. The lobby has a community board with useful local info. I return yesterday with a book well past the due date. No charges for keeping book longer then you are suppose to. Awesome sauce.
Not to happy. A staff lady was very rude and spoke to us in an unprofessional way extremely loud making everyone turn and look at us when it was bc a mask dropped low on one of my companions nose. Staff needs to take a class on ethics and how u treat patrons coming into the library or get new Job if she feels so miserable. It seemed she was on a power trip and this isn't the 1st time she has been like this. Others say the same to me about how staff is loud rude and inconsiderate with ppl. So no I don't recommend going
Clean, friendly help. Only downside, is the library is all open. So noice from the children section travels.
Great local libraries. Has meeting rooms, books, music, DVDs, audiobooks, small study rooms and seating. The east location looks just like the Klondike location. They also participate in many free apps for books, movies, and music. New buildings that are well kept.
They have recently expanded operating hours, so older negative reviews about that don't mean as much now. Super convenient for east siders and not crowded like downtown. I always just put the items I want on hold for pickup here and it's waiting for me when I walk in.
Not even close to our libraries back home. Libraries back home have a teenage/ youth room with new leather couches brand new computers and ipads. They have a separate adult room with brand new computers. Classes once a month for adults to get certified in computer programs. Tutor nights for kids and family nights to include movie played outside once a month! Also unlike this library they actually care about VETERANS and parents!!! Had an older worker at this location tell one of my Veteran friends she does not care about Veterans that is wrong!!! Also this same lady had the audacity to tell me I could not check to see if my son's movie was off hold yet without his library card. I said I am his mother and when he signed up for his account because he is a minor, I had to sign as well. That does not seem right, the lady just wanted to argue and said it was part of Indiana law, I told her to show me, and she could not. Maybe before workers piss off local Veterans and the community, they should have their facts straight first!! Maybe us Veterans need to stop caring about others and fighting for out country, because so many people like you don't appreciate our service!
Nice quite library. It's a small branch, so they don't keep many copies on hand, but they can hold them and have them sent from the other branches on request. Kids section is great with the interactive electronics.
Very clean and friendly. Helpful to their school aged clientele.
