Tramici in St. Simmons is a must stop! Even though it was a hot day, we sat outside in the shade and fan cooled patio, which was perfect for having dinner with the kids. Our waitress Max was very interactive and silly with our young kids, which made for a really fun dinner. The light Italian wine, absolutely delicious Italian meals and botanical outdoor patio seating made for a very nice dinner. Thank you Tramici, for a lovely experience. I highly recommend -xo
It was decently priced for a finer dining experience; however, it was strange to me how bread was not complimentary was $4. Regardless the food was good: we got the truffle butter with bread $4, the smoked salmon ravioli $26 and the chocolate on the rocks dessert $10. Honestly I would come back here just for the truffle butter and bread, it was very tasty.
We were on St. Simons for the lighthouse celebration and my wife saw Tramici had some gluten free options, so we checked it out. The dining room was full so we sat at the bar. The two bartenders were great. We were served quickly and they were very knowledgeable. The food was fanastic. Other guests were enjoying their drinks and food as well. Highly recommend.
1st our waitress was very good. My husband's filet was delicious. My bruschetta was just ok. The potato soup was delicious. Amazing Moscato. Had issues with a waitress and chef fighting and being super unprofessional. Manager came and the waitress and both apologized but it made the night awkward. The manager compt the wine and dessert as a courtesy but look in the pics how they gave it to us.. thats supposed to be a fancy cheesecake lol. The whole situation was wierd.
This was my first time at Tramici, I've been wanting to try their food for quite a while. I have visited the Halyard Group's other 2 restaurants in the past; Halyard's and La Plancha. I have to say the experience at Tramici wasn't the best. Our waiter was courteous and helpful, but the food wasn't terrific. The pizzas are ok, on the small side, but otherwise taste fine. What was a disappointment was hearing how the staff handled the requests at a neighboring table for bread or refills of drinks. The table adjacent to mine asked for bread and they were immediately told they would be charged for it. I could tell the adults at the table were a little thrown off, but they insisted on the bread anyway. Their server returned to the table later and I believe one of the kids asked for a drink refill and the waitress immediately said she would have to charge them for it. I get this if you are eating somewhere just above fast food quality, but Tramici bills itself as a finer dining experience than that, implying that you won't have to constantly agree to additional charges for every little thing a customer asks for. It made the experience feel like standing in the line at Chipotle and asking for extra guac. I could tell the parents at that table were not thrilled with the constant upcharge reminders. It cheapens the feel of the Tramici experience, just fyi.
4.5 out of 5 sorry Google only does whole numbers!!! We ate at Tramici for our 15th wedding Anniversary. We made reservations a couple days ahead and highly suggest during the busy season. The food was amazing! I had the Chicken Marsala and my wife had the Chicken Piccata. No complaints from me however my wife said there was too many artichokes in hers but was able to pick around them. Their menu selection was small. Our server was very slow and we had to ask for things such as refills several times. For a higher end restaurant on the island, we expected better service. I’ll blame the lack of labor force right now. We will be coming back to try more of the menu! Updated Review: After coming back, we were very happy with the selection of food and service. I changed my review to 5 Stars!
Lasagna and spaghetti were excellent. Meat balls were made with spicy Italian sausage - wonderful. Service was fast. Megan was courteous and helpful. The "bisque " part of the lobster bisque was very good. Could find any actual lobster though. I still don't understand why bread is not part of the meal.
Unfortunately it's just mediocre on many levels. The food can be Bland or not Bland depending on the visit. The inconsistency is difficult. It's not really an Italian restaurant but rather it is a restaurant that attempts to make Italian food but really just ends up making something resembling Italian food. The service has never been particularly good. It's not awful it's just not good. Course dishes don't get removed before the next course arrives. Water glasses don't get filled up. Sugar and cream are not offered with coffee drinks. The desserts are decidedly uninspired. It's just a generally mediocre restaurant
Delicious food and fantastic service! We love the creative drink names, and everything we’ve ordered has been perfectly cooked and absolutely amazing. I also recommend the cheesecake for dessert. I would highly recommend making reservations.
From was great. Service was awsome. It was a warm romantic setting. Prices are great. Everything went well.Food: 5/5
