Honestly the worst hospital i have ever been to. I went in with a high fever, excessive chills, terrible body aches, extreme sore throat and vomiting.. when i got there, my blood pressure was extremely low, the check in nurse was concerned and re-did it, twice, when i got back to the room, even after adjusting and fixing the cuff, my blood pressure was still low, it dropped down to 66/38- the machine was beeping non stop and not one nurse/ doctor came into the room until i pressed the nurse button on the remote. Then, they came in about 10/15 mins after, not worried. I had no barf bag, no garbage next to me, i was throwing up bile on the floor. Not to mention, the trauma room that they placed me in, had no restocked supplies in there, or a working otoscope. They didn’t connect me to an IV, didn’t draw any labs, or even want to test me for anything other than strep. Took longer than 30 mins to get tylenol and ibuprofen, and after my strep came back negative, with out any further exam, didn’t check my ears, no one would have checked my temp if i didn’t ask the nurse in the room to because i was curious to see how high my fever was and it was 101°, the PA ruled it out as Viral and i got discharged shortly after. The PA told me i am small, and my blood pressure would be low, so i was okay to go home. I have never had low blood pressure like that before, ever, nor have i have felt that sick before. After i had gotten discharged, i rested for a couple of hours and woke up with extreme chills again, another high fever, could not keep any fluids down at all and almost fainted multiple times since getting back from Tri-Star. I ended up going to Vanderbilt where they did every single possible test, urine culture, blood cultures, x-rays, IV’s, zofran through the IV. Come to find out, i have tonsillitis, i was tachycardic, and it was not a “bad virus”. Terrible, terrible, patient care at Tri-Star, would absolutely never go back nor recommend it to anyone.
Registration process was chaos and frustrating and unnecessary. The receptionist had very little sense of urgency and was not apologetic about it. Several others experienced this today with me
They did an amazing job with my fiancee and his hernia surgery. Dr Patel and Dr Chris Helou were amazing. Staff was great from cafeteria and food service to all the nurses. Definitely a great hospital
The doctors and nurses are great my issue is with security. I am a small female and just had 3 large male security guards approach me. That's the first issue I have is why are 3 large men walking up on a girl like that?? They told me I couldn't be here, so I assumed they had meant where I was because I was sitting outside of a door valet uses to get in and out of the parking garage. I went to go inside and all 3 of the large men followed me all the way to the elevator which is frightening AF. They didn't ask any questions about why I was here or anything just trying to kick me off the property. I've been here for 2 weeks with my mom who is a patient. Hospital needs to train their security guards on how to approach people and ask questions before trying to make someone leave. I was going on an elevator so obviously I had a reason to be here.
Terrible ER experience. Not only were we ignored for hours on end the nursing staff was inept, rude, and unresponsive but the rooms were filthy and no attention was paid to so much cleaning up of syringes and trash. The patience call button may as well have been a brink and even though my fiancés BP was 191/108 and the alarm was going off, people simply walked on by. Avoid this hospital at all costs. And before your PR team tries to tell me to contact someone at the hospital. I called both the ER manager and the ER director as the posters in the room advised with no response.
I had another excellent experience at the Centennial Women’s Imaging Center for my yearly mammogram. My appointment was quick, professional, and efficient. The online scheduling option was fantastic. I had an excellent radiology tech who got the needed views on the first try, without having to repeat them. My report was ready to view online within 24 hours. FYI re: parking - There is a free but somewhat understaffed valet at the building entrance. It closes in the early to mid afternoon. When it’s open, I’ve often had a 15 minute wait to get my vehicle. Parking in the garage across the street is free and convenient to the imaging center. I would recommend using the garage.
I absolutely was impressed by the level of caring I received in the ER. Dr. Cassell went over and above to find me an eye doctor when there wasn’t one on staff. All the nurses were so friendly and helpful and did such a great job telling me what was going on each step of my visit. All the steps of my treatment happened expeditiously. I was so pleased!
One of the best places to get treatment. Originally scheduled to be at the women’s hospital and surgery was moved to Sara Cannon in the smart complex. They made that transition very easy with a few days notice. All of the nurses were phenomenal. From the time I got back for surgery everyone was making sure I was comfortable and not anxious. They really made surgery seem not like the big deal it was, which was nice. Once I was fully awake it took less than 30 minutes for me to be moved into a rather cozy private room. The nurses were there for anything I needed. My doctor was AWESOME! I feel so valued and cared for as a patient. He saw me and my family privately before surgery. Talked to me in recovery and came into my room twice after surgery that day. He came to see me the day after as well. He has called a few times to check in on me. I’m so appreciate of a doctor who takes time to listen and really cares. I’m thankful for my Nashville referral.
Everyone was very friendly and willing to help. The prep and surgical team were amazing. The doctor was one of the best all around that I have ever had. I've never been treated better at any other hospital.
I cannot think how my experience could have been better. All staff and caregivers were friendly and efficient, making my procedure as comfortable and stress-free as possible. [One thing I would change was my screaming that scared my poor nurse half to death, and probably half the ward. My bad. :~
