Needed a spot for the night between Mackinaw and Bismarck. Owner answered promptly, had a spot for us with 50 amp and meet us at the gate to take us to our site. Site was a bit of slope front to back but we leveled it all out and spent the night. Electric and Water only with a dump on the way out if needed. A bit of a trick getting out in the morning but it worked. Did not use any of the facilities. There were several people at the park. Lots of trees, grass where we were at. Cash Only.
The best thing I can say is that it was available when we needed a place to stay. The man that greeted us was friendly and helpful. However, we have been on the road for several weeks and have usually paid anywhere from $10 to $30 a night less for a much nicer space. No full hookups, and the site went downhill making it difficult to level. We had to stay by the road in what seemed to me like extra or overflow parking, which would have been fine for one night, but $60 was twice as much as what it was worth.
The pull through site are right on top of each other. The site is bearly wide enough for the camper and a picnic table that buts up to the neighbors camper. There is not room to put out the awning. If we did it would hit the really bad neighbor we had on the side of the camper. If I knew this about the site before booked it, I would looked for a different camp ground. What ever you do, DO NOT STAY at twin springs. The pull through sites are NOT level at all. If the owner would put in a little work on the pull through sites they might rate a ok at some point.
What a beautiful place. I called it my taste Heaven. The walk down to the water is just breathtaking. I caught a couple of large northern pike and we also caught black bass. The owners and the manager very, very nice people. We miss you all. See ya next year
First time at Twin Springs. Had our annual family camping trip. We tent in the perfect spot for 11 people. 4 tents, 4 cars and a dog. Plenty of room, very private and rustic. Camp ground is under new ownership as the campground was neglected for many years. New owners are so kind, hard working and dedicated to get the campground back to life. Only flaw…there’s only one restroom location, the walk is kinda long, if you need to go…. Go downtown, Check out the town, plenty todo. Take a trip to Willow River, you won’t be disappointed. Happy Camping!
Wow, we expected so much more as the website makes this place look great. We also spoke to the owners before booking and everything sounded amazing! We were so so disappointed because the bathrooms were filthy and there were anthills everywhere. We also got squeezed between two campers and there were several open spaces with lots of room. We have family in the area and will return to Menomonie but will never camp here again. Playground: Dated, like a playground I played at in the 1960s Restrooms: Dirty, gross and Outdated! Picnic area: Round cement tables with moss/lichens growing on every surface
A very nice campground. Clean restrooms. Kids ages 6 - 12 enjoyed the outdoor pool very much. I give it 4 stars because there wasn't a beach and the amenities are limited for the price. Playground: I believe there is only have a swing set. Restrooms: 1 set of restrooms, connected to the bar/game room. Dog-friendliness: Very friendly. When my grandson's dog got off his leash; other campers were helpful in helping us find him.
Bathrooms disgusting, no water, sites on slant with mud. Poor communication with man in golf cart forgetting things he said, way too expensive. Looks like family lives there and rents out these spots for income, felt unsafe.
Great campground! New owners are really doing a wonderful job. Completely family operated. We were initially worried about staying here based off the old reviews from previous owenership, disregard those, they are irrelevant now. We had a baseball tournament out there and had 6 families stay here. New Owners were very accommodating and the campground was in great shape. We all especially loved the classic 1960s bar and game room that is still mostly intact and preserved. Very cool blast from the past campground bar.
Wonderful there nice to guys with bowties and glitter :.i would definitely go again thank you sincerely Mr. Sparkles:
