I went in for an exam $100 dollars for a resident with no insurance. They did the teeth x-rays, looked at my teeth with the mirror tool hit my tooth with it too!  then stuck a piece of plastic in my face to take photos of my mouth with a /cell phone./ Not once did the "Doctor" slow down to ask if I had any questions. They told me theres an "infection" in my teeth, but didn't specify what I should do about it. I was referred for oral surgery for impacted wisdom teeth, and was told I would have to get them ALL removed, despite only half of my teeth bothering me If it's not broken, don't fix it. They told me I had tooth decay, but didn't specify if it was cavities or not. They tried to tell me I would have to come back at a later date to get more photos of my teeth I didn't even have the chance to ask why and a cleaning. I feel like I paid $100 dollars for them to tell me something I already knew. It felt like they were more concerned with a bump on my tongue that has been there forever than what my actual issue was: My wisdom teeth. I declined a followup for cleaning and more pictures because I'll have insurance through my job soon, and I'll be able to go to an actual office. I'm sure they actually do help people, but to me it felt like a scam. Note to the resident who saw me: Slow down instead of going through the motions. You have patients, not products.

I have always liked the idea of students working on my teeth. Why? Because they are given a grade and therefore take their time. Plus, a dentist always check to be sure  everything is done properly. The student has to discuss plan of action with dentist before starting procedure. I prefer to do this than have a dentist in private practice rush procedure in order to make as much money as possible.  My dental students name was Cameron and I absolutely loved her professionalism and attention to detail.  The school only except patients who fit within the realm of the students abilities. They do not take very complicated cases such as someone who has a mouth filled with dental caries etc.  They also have a new clinic called CRET. Companies donate dental equipment for an w tire room. This is basically advertisement. Only students in 4th year are allowed to utilize the clinic. Here you have a private room set up like a regular dental practice.  I highly recommend considering enrolling in UMMC Dental School as a patient.

I was able to take advantage of Free Dental Week in January and everyone was so patient and very professional.  I do not like going to the dentist but everyone made it a smooth transaction from one room to the next. I know this sounds weird, but I really enjoyed going to the dentist THANK YOU everyone  for taking care of me , Nancy

I enjoyed my visit with the students. I appreciate how they are working at learning highly skilled jobs. And I'm sure Landen Hajje will make a fine Dentist.

I’ve been a patient since the early 80’s.  The quality of service has always been outstanding and patient oriented; however, in recent years, that has changed.  There is more a customer  centered approach than patient centered.  Patients have become customers and there is indeed a difference in the service. Dr. Mehta and Eureka, the hygienist, however, still demonstrate old fashioned patient centered service that is clone-worthy.  Kudos to them for maintaining and continuing to model patient centered service values!!!

This place is AMAZING! Every one was very helpful. The dentist & assistant were amazing professionals. Didn't feel a thing!!! .

Staff gives you the feeling that they are inconvenienced by your presence. I went there twice for check ups and to schedule an oral surgery.. I have been trying to book an appointment for almost a year an no one picks up or returns calls.

Amazing staff students and doctors included  they made me feel so much more comfortable about what all I had and have to have done ... and they are much much less expensive than a regular dental office or orthodontist....

I have been there 3 times in the last 20 years, and its been a waste of time! first its not cheap, 2nd it takes forever to get started. 15 hours just recently! The students want grades,not your well being! They well drop you in heartbeat! I dropped out when I was told $5k! Told me I needed a 300.$ cleaning, got them cleaned next day and my regular dentist was shocked! 4 teeth need a little tarter removed.!!!! They don't take insurance, My dentist takes it so it helps.

I have had some great Dental work done at a good price. You have to remember they are dental students. Do they are learning but have some great teachers.
