I recently had an exceptional experience at University Hospital and wanted to share my positive review. From the moment I stepped foot in the hospital,I was impressed by the level of care & compassion I received. Dr. Rose & his staff addressed all my concerns. The communication was effective. He walked me through the procedure I was about to about to receive & put my mind at ease. Oral surgery isn’t the easiest thing to go through, but having Nurses & Doctors that are patient with you makes things better. I would definitely recommend University Hospital to anyone.
THE WORST HOSPITAL I EVER SEEN! My husband cut 2 fingers and they said he will need stitches and they make us wait for almost 4hours. There’s wasn’t nurses and doctors. The staff that was there was sitting in an office. Nobody even gave him a pain medicine. We just decided go to another hospital and of course they send us the bills to pay for some assistance that we never had The hospital was EXTREMELY dirty!
I had my baby here and I can say it’s the worse decision ever. I felt like I was being used as a practical for some sought of experiment. After delivering I waited for over 4 hours to be transferred cos they were short staffed. The room I was given was being cleaned right in my presence with my new born baby and on top of that there was no ac in this heat. I kept asking for it to be turned on but the nurses said they have no control over it. It was terrible, if you have another option of hospitals please don’t come here. It’s a practical center.
University hospital deserves a 0 rating. It was filthy! The waiting room floor and chairs were disgusting. Other rooms were dirty as well. The bathroom had junk and blood on the floor with an empty roll of toilet tissue. There was nothing to dry your hands with in the bathroom either. Luckily I always carry tissues in my pocket. The staff was discourteous. It was a long wait and even though I was supposed to be “fast track” I think that term is used ironically. There was nothing fast about it. Spent half a day there and still didn’t get a through exam. I thought I couldn’t do any worse than Carewell Health / EOGH but they certainly gave it their all in being terrible. Would not recommend Ambika Roy or Lilian A. Ilamahana for care or exams! Very rough.
If I could give this hospital a 0 I would . I was in a car accident 1 month pregnant been in the waiting room for 2hr and in fast track for almost 3hr . I am currently in excruciating pain and not feeling well my nurse did not attend to me and no one has seen the doctor. The receptionist in a blue head scarf was very disrespectful and no help . I never be coming back to this hospital even if I was on my dying bed.
My life was saved two days ago but I was robbed in the er room while being cared for. Someone took my 14kt gold bracelet off my right arm caring for me. When I got into my room I noticed it was gone. I was really out of it. why the staff do that to me. I’m sure it has happened to others it’s just not talked about. I’m so upset I was taken advantage of at my weakest. I just remembered two black males taking off my shirt to put on a gown. I had an I’v in both arms. And a wrist band. I was told they would locate my bracelet and look at the cameras but nothing has happened.
I went to building 90 on Bergen Street for a surgical procedure with Dr. Michael Vosbikian the staff was super helpful. Everyone was so nice and caring. The level of care blew my mind. Thank you so much.
We are from Boston and my mother fell while transferring flights in Newark Airport. She ended up in need of partial hip replacement surgery so the EMTs brought us to University Hospital- the only area hospital with on staff orthopedics. Our initial response was disgust after seeing the state of the ED urinals filled other patients fluids on gurneys, dried blood on IV stands, dirty rooms... overall chaos but the staff was absolutely amazing! They assured us that my mother was in the right hands and were incredibly helpful, transparent and kind. The admitting doctor even called us with updates after he had left his shift for the evening! All in all, the hospital needs more funding but we can honestly say that we received better personal service from staff here than we normally do at hospitals in Boston!
Tried to get my autistic sister’s dental surgery done to no avail. The doctor kept making excuses and ultimately didn’t do the surgery because he didn’t want to. We waited hours and wasted the entire day waiting on the doctor. Overall, the worst hospital I’ve ever been too. I would give less than one star if I could.
Best care ever! Great endocrinology! Great ENT great cancer center. They cured my cancer quickly! 5+ s!!!!
