The Professional Development Program at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration is designed to serve the educational needs of social workers and human service professionals.
The Professional Development Program (PDP) at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration is a licensed State of Illinois provider of Continuing Education (CEUs) for social workers, clinical psychologists, professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists.
Grounded in the dynamic interplay of theory, research, and practice, these workshops are intended to inform participants and also to challenge them to integrate new learning into their daily practice. It is recommended that professionals review the CE rules for their licensing board prior to registering for a workshop to ensure that the content meets their renewal requirements.
University of Chicago faculty, as well as distinguished guest scholars and practitioners, teach PDP offerings. The curriculum covers a wide range of content, emphasizing the integration of theory, research, and practice.
