UF Plant City offers degree programs in Agricultural Education, Geomatics, Plant Science/Horticulture, Environmental Management, and much more!
Degree Programs / Study Areas:
Agricultural Education:
Agricultural Education students are trained to become agriscience teachers in the public schools, but can also pursue careers in fields such as business and government.
Environmental Horticulture/Plant Science:
Environmental Horticulture students learn about growing ornamental plants in greenhouses and then installing them in landscaping to improve our human-made environment.
Geomatics:
Geomatics (a.k.a. Surveying) students learn about measuring features of the Earth's surface--if you are into computers, math, engineering, and technology check out this fun and extremely lucrative field!
Environmental Management in Agriculture and Natural Resources
This new, interdisciplinary program has been offered through distance education for some time, offering training in environmental management with substantial emphasis on agriculture and natural resources. This major is now also being offered at the Plant City center, where students can take some of their elective courses onsite!
