Edit to add I'm taking it down to one star for the rude response. I have stayed in your campground multiple times. I will not be bullied into giving my reservation name, but I have my receipts! I travel all over the state and this is the worst service I have ever received. Wow, point proven that they are the most rude staff I have ever encountered. The rudest office staff I've ever encountered. It is almost impossible to even communicate with them. The price is insane but they have a ton of amenities... just good luck using them bc it is packed here! We were shoved in a tiny spot by the men's restroom and charged $1700. The tightest spots we have seen yet. Absolutely no privacy whatsoever. Pools are always over crowded along with all the courts. Tons of dogs and the tiniest dog park u can imagine. I don't think my gate code ever worked properly either so we constantly had to buzz the incompetent office staff. Good luck staying here
Other than their dryers being less than desirable. The staff is VERY friendly, courteous and will deliver packages to your location. The dryer issue may be due to all us construction guys running the wheels off of it and packing it full of lint. All in all...I'd vacation here anytime!!!
We stayed here after Hurricane Ian, for one week. When we got home, we saw that they charged us for an entire month! Price gougers! Tried to contact them multiple times to fix it, no response at all. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Its nice and quite lots of older folk. Nice pools and they have events so that's nice to. Maybe a little bit pricy now though. Theres a trail that connects to the nature preserve but its blocked off and overgrown unfortunately.
THE LADIES UP FRONT IN OFFICE ARE NICE AND DO HAVE A SINCE OF HUMOR WISH THEY HAD ICEMACHINE HERE BUT SUPER NICE CAMPGROUND WELL KEPT GOOD SPOTS DECENT PARKING REALLY COOL GATE IT HAS LIGHTS RED AND GREEN YOULL LOVE IT
What a pleasant place to visit and super clean love the friendly people we encountered pet friendly and everybody is super aware children's safety
Nice RV park, updated, and well manicured. I stayed here for 1 month during high season and 1 month during off-season; both months, I was charged $1300+water+electricity; which is a bit pricey in my opinion regardless of its quality, especially for it being a good 40-50 minutes from the beaches and hustle and bustle of Fort Myers. Maybe that’s what you’re looking for though… it is located on the Caloosahatchee river, which is nice if you enjoy fishing, however, you can’t swim in it or bask in the sunshine like you might at a beach—because of gators. The dog park is kind of small, distant, and no shade/trees around it; however, there is trail access to the Caloosahatchee preserve which is a beautiful walking area. The staff and residents are friendly and welcoming. Would visit again if it were a better price.
Great park....quaint but social. Love working here
We stayed for 42 nights in the newest, front portion of the park. There is quite a bit of road noise from Hwy 78 in the mornings. A lot of trucks that produce a significant amount of noise starting around 5:00AM. The park itself if well maintained. There is a full time crew that works every day to keep the park looking nice. The park is pretty nicely located to Ft. Meyers, but Hwy 78 can produce some traffic so patience getting out of the park is needed. There is a Publix super market within 10 minutes in either direction. Restaurants are plentiful. The bathrooms and shower houses are not air conditioned; except for the one at the office, but that one is not open 24 hours. The full time residents at the park are super friendly, but the staff may need a little extra training on customer service. They may use part time campers in the office which would explain the gruffness you may receive. We are full timers, so we know what we like and what we don’t, and Up River is a good place to spend some time. We recommend this park. There are more expensive, and snootier parks not far away, but the people staying at Up River are nice, polite, and courteous.
People are friendly and very helpful. I don’t know about all of the sites but the newest ones are spacious, concrete with a concrete patio and are perfectly level. The site dump stations are low to the ground which makes for easy dumping. Absolutely beautiful campground and well put together by people who know camping and what people want, I wish more campgrounds were like this one. You won’t be disappointed if you ever stay here, we came down to get some work done on our bus but we’ll be back to spend much more time if we can get a spot.
