While the attending Doctors seem to be highly skilled, there is absolutely NO RESPECT for patients' time. A standard eye checkup will have you waiting for hours to see the Doctor for 3 minutes. If you have alternatives, give this place a miss as it is getting worse as it's run like a factory to maximize revenue rather than care for patients.
If there was 10 stars to give I would certainly give them. Dr. Ayyala and his staff are the reason that my loved one still has vision today. My aunt came to him with a critically advanced glaucoma case after her previous medical team believed nothing else could be done for her after she suffered severe complications from a cataracts procedure that had been performed. Dr Ayyala from the beginning of her treatment has been transparent with us regarding her treatment options and has guided us through those potential life altering decisions. He has performed three procedures on her eye to stabilize pressure and keep and restore her vision and has been available for follow up questions or concerns even on holidays. These words I write don’t come close to how grateful my family and I feel for all that Dr. Ayyala and his staff have done for my aunt and continue to do. Danielle Humby at Usf health Eye Institute Provided valuable information to help alleviate eye pain after surgery while my doctor was on vacation. Her recommendations instantly relieved my Symptoms allowing me to function while I waited for my doctor's return. My experience at this center was wonderful Dr Ayyala took care of my cataracts and I'm seeing good now Everyone there Was very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend them 100% couldn't have asked for anything better. Thanks again for everything.
USF was recommended to me for cataract surgery just about blind I had both eyes done what a wonderful experience and I can see great would recommend to anybody to go to USF
I took a friend to USF for an eye appointment. I have been looking for a doctor to operate on my lazy eye. No one I had called would do an older 70 person's eye. The receptionist suggested Dr. Basith. We met and discussed surgery on my eye. I was so please when Dr. Basith said she could help me. Had the operation and my eyes are straight. Doctor explained what she did. I was pleased at my results, as was the doctor. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend Dr Basith. Thank you, Dr Basith and USF and TGH.
What a wonderful, kind, caring and capable staff! I have been visiting DR Roohipourmoallai at USF Eye for 6 months now due to a totally detached retina. The doctor and her team, Arlene and Louis are second to none. Always kind and helpful. VERY knowledable and communicative. Due to them, a bad situation was turned around and my prognosis is excellent. THANKS AGAIN!
I have been a patient of USF Health Eye Institute for over 12 years. I have received excellent care from Dr Roohi and her team Louis and Arlene. I highly recommend usf eye institute if you have ophthalmology concerns. They are the best.

I went to see a new eye doctor; unfortunately she was was late; that was part of the problem. At the same time when the assistant nurse took the pression of my eyes and the routine reading the chart with every eye, she sent me back to the waiting room. There, were two little girls with their parents waiting to see the same doctor, so I decided to cancel my appointment after considering that has to be a doctor specialized in seniors.
