Found it to be unfriendly and nasty. Why would you not at least clean the place? Good question! Attitude’s mostly were bad. It rubs off on everyone else. No out side mail box?
we filled out a hold request for our mail before leaving on vacation for 2 weeks. I go in to pick up our mail, rang the doorbell and waited. ran again and waited. we asked the desk for someone to come help us. waited. then the desk rang the bell and continued to wait. asked the desk again. rang the bell again then finally after idk how long we got help. turns out they supposedly “never got a hold request” when we had filled it out at their desk. absolutely ridiculous. the guy at the desk told us we were all set, so what ever communication mess up they had needs to be addressed. we had medications sitting in our mailbox for over a week that are probably ruined now because of the heat. this place needs to be kicked into shape.
I've had nothing but issues with the rowlett postal service since I moved back here 3 months ago. Multiple packages marked as undeliverable at my home address and the same at my address, which is also in rowlett. They just mark the business as closed on Saturdays, even during our business hours.
I would have rated them less than zero if that had been an option. These are the most incompetent people I've ever met. We were trying to mail large boxes and they refused us. Even though we followed all the USPS online guidelines for large boxes. They acted like they had never seen or dealt with boxes before. Super confused, super rude and refused to mail them for us. Clearly, they could not be bothered to do their jobs. We had to drive to the Rockwall post office to mail the boxes. Rockwall mailed them without hesitation and when asked, could not explain why the Rowlett office refused us. I will drive miles to use a different post office.
I got a pink slip to go pick up a package because it needed my signature. The guy at the window told me he can't help me and to go to the door beyond the wall and ring the bell. I did. I rang that bell 3x and knocked once. All spread out during my wait. No one came after 30 minutes. I went back to the window and the guy wasn't there but a new lady was. I waited while she was with someone. Saw me and was slow. She helped me though, right at the window. She took time to look at the slip and read off the address, I said yup. She went to look and came back with it asked for my ID. I gave it. She seemed sus since I still have an out of state license but the name matched. But proceeded. I signed and was able to take my package, which was a little brown envelope small enough to fit in any mailbox. Overall shouldn't have taken 45 minutes to get this package when there was a max of 3 customers at a time cycling out in that duration of time. Do they hate receiving packages? Lazy? Not getting paid enough? Too long of hours? I see this location has a highest rating of 1.5 stars and I guess I now know why. Is there a way to change the preferences of where your package is held?
Carrier lied and said they tried to deliver an expected PKG I was waiting for and nobody was home. I have security camera's and a motion detector doorbell. They never left the vehicle and I have it documented. I have filed a formal complaint with OIG for providing false information on a official government document. Someone evidenced by the reviews and my experience need to investigate this location.
Why is Rowlett Post Office so unclean, out dated and unfriendly?? It's a shame that the Post Master & they do not take pride in their work area or their customers. The place is soooo unsantized, that God Covid has some what died down or you would catch it in there! As a resident I'm so disappointed in Rowlett & how our city is going to the dogs!!!
I had to leave a car parked in front of my house for 4 days and because the postman had to angle his truck differently he was intentionally leaving my mailbox open and I lost mail and mail was ruined from a thunderstorm. This post office has the laziest people I have EVER seen working for it and most of them look like ex-cons.
The worst office that I ever been. 45’ minutes waiting for walking passport while they didn’t have any appointment scheduled to take but still let me wait. After almost an hour waiting, I need to go restroom. The lady told me just go and come back. I keep you in line. However, my brother was still waited in the line. He was the first person in the line. Then I went for restroom for 5’, I came back and saw my brother was still waiting while she took others people behind him. I asked her why and that lady told me “ since you left, so I will do it for you two after them” I felt like wth, she could skipped me but not my brother. We waited for almost an hour and they did that with us. I will never ever come back here again. The worst experience I ever had
This location sucks when it comes to delivering to Senior Complex on Lakeview Pkwy. I often don't receive my Amazon packages or key is placed in my box for another residence and I get other residence packages.
