I have been going to this post office branch for almost 8 years. I go about once every month-mail a package, send certified mail, buy stamps-just average stuff. Never once have I had a negative experience. Never! The employees are always professional and courteous. That adds up to about 90-95 personal encounters at this branch.
Ive lived in Rowlett 30+ years. Everytime I go to this post office, there is always some reason I or another customer cannot be serviced as requested. The customer is NEVER right or 1st here, usually having to wait until the employee finishes what they deem is more important. The employees at the counter are the rudest, most unprofessional people ever! Today after upsetting a woman because she wasnt getting the help she needed, the male worker literally said to her, "We can fight if you wanna fight." The female worker chucked under her breath and they both literally talked about her at the counter in front of her. I simply needed a $50 bill as part of my change so I could add it to my package and was refused by both employees. I would rather use Mail Plus or the Rockwall post office than this place! There is NO excuse for a small town post office to be so rude and condescending to the community they are there to serve!
I had an appointment for a brand new passport. The mail clerk was very professional and made sure that I was waited on at my scheduled appointment time. Everything went smooth and I was out of there in 20 minutes.
Found it to be unfriendly and nasty. Why would you not at least clean the place? Good question! Attitude’s mostly were bad. It rubs off on everyone else. No out side mail box?
Why is Rowlett Post Office so unclean, out dated and unfriendly?? It's a shame that the Post Master & they do not take pride in their work area or their customers. The place is soooo unsantized, that God Covid has some what died down or you would catch it in there! As a resident I'm so disappointed in Rowlett & how our city is going to the dogs!!!
I've had nothing but issues with the rowlett postal service since I moved back here 3 months ago. Multiple packages marked as undeliverable at my home address and the same at my address, which is also in rowlett. They just mark the business as closed on Saturdays, even during our business hours.
I would have rated them less than zero if that had been an option. These are the most incompetent people I've ever met. We were trying to mail large boxes and they refused us. Even though we followed all the USPS online guidelines for large boxes. They acted like they had never seen or dealt with boxes before. Super confused, super rude and refused to mail them for us. Clearly, they could not be bothered to do their jobs. We had to drive to the Rockwall post office to mail the boxes. Rockwall mailed them without hesitation and when asked, could not explain why the Rowlett office refused us. I will drive miles to use a different post office.
I got a pink slip to go pick up a package because it needed my signature. The guy at the window told me he can't help me and to go to the door beyond the wall and ring the bell. I did. I rang that bell 3x and knocked once. All spread out during my wait. No one came after 30 minutes. I went back to the window and the guy wasn't there but a new lady was. I waited while she was with someone. Saw me and was slow. She helped me though, right at the window. She took time to look at the slip and read off the address, I said yup. She went to look and came back with it asked for my ID. I gave it. She seemed sus since I still have an out of state license but the name matched. But proceeded. I signed and was able to take my package, which was a little brown envelope small enough to fit in any mailbox. Overall shouldn't have taken 45 minutes to get this package when there was a max of 3 customers at a time cycling out in that duration of time. Do they hate receiving packages? Lazy? Not getting paid enough? Too long of hours? I see this location has a highest rating of 1.5 stars and I guess I now know why. Is there a way to change the preferences of where your package is held?
Carrier lied and said they tried to deliver an expected PKG I was waiting for and nobody was home. I have security camera's and a motion detector doorbell. They never left the vehicle and I have it documented. I have filed a formal complaint with OIG for providing false information on a official government document. Someone evidenced by the reviews and my experience need to investigate this location.
I came in a week ago to do a change of an address form gave the Hispanic man my id to scan it in I asked him what’s the difference from when I do one from the mail truck they don’t ask for an is he said what’s a mail truck I ignored him I’m not sure if he actually put my charge of address in cause I should have received mail by now cause I gets plenty
