Omg the staff is amazing and very helpful! My wife hates Dr. appointments especially going to the VA but this place was so great she didn't want to leave and they're fast big PLUS!!!
Have been trying to schedule an appt for 2 months. Spoken to the nurses who tell me nothing is available for the next 2 months and togo to er. Went to er, despite not wanting too, and left with a referral to see a GI doc but have to be seen by my clinic first. Then I'm told I cannot come to my clinic unless I goto the er again for a covid test, despite them doing tests at the clinic. Did that and made an appt in just 4 days. Day of they call and say that they ate canceling my appt and will call me to reschedule. They never called back so I called them apparently my doctor has been on vacation for over a month and won't be back until September but I could go back to the er if im in such a rush....worst clinic/VA I have ever seen.
Waited for an hour and half just to be told to get pain relievers for my messed up hand, had to ask repeatedly just for a doctor to check hand and he didn’t say anything about it but pain reliever. I could of diagnosed that myself. Great doc experience

I have been going to this clinic for sometime. I have never yet had a issue nor a problem with Austell VA. I called VA in reference to a health issue this morning. Spoke with a nurse and she told me to be at the clinic that afternoon. I would give the staff, nurses and my doctor a hundred stars if I could! I was in the clinic no more than a hour, along with a prescription. Thank you Austell VA clinic.
Had a medical emergency after hours. I called and was told to go to the local ER since the Atlanta VA is almost 2 hours away. The next day I come in to get some prescriptions filled and they won’t fill them because they didn’t think it was an emergency, even though I was told by the after hours nurse to go. Now I can’t even get the medication I need. The wonderful nurse told me I should have just sucked up the pain and traveled the two hours to the VA emergency room. Horrible. And I’m stuck.
When my doctor moved locations, not only did I have to call 7 different people for updates but I found out that I had been transferred despite my REPEATED confirmations that I wanted to stay to a new clinic. To top off this all off, multiple times I was given incorrect contact information for the new clinic one sent me to Decatur. I am so beyond frustrated at the lack of communication. If you have the option to go elsewhere, do it.
