Vail Residences is an upscale resort hotel with a good location and nice views. Some rooms face the highway, which is very noisy, so you can’t open the windows at night if you would like to. The air condition is effective and quiet. The hotel features a gym, many outdoor sports activities, and outdoor pool area, and excellent conferencing possibilities. The hotel is not located at a walking distance from the Vail town center. The breakfast is very good, and the food in the hotel in general is very good. There is a small convenience store and café. The lobby features a champagne vending machine, which we found a fun feature. The staff is friendly, but seem a bit inexperienced, particularly in the bar area. The rooms are very nice, very clean, and the bed is excellent. The bathroom and shower is very spacious and well planned. All in all this is a very good hotel that would get five stars from us if the staff had been better trained.
It’s is literally everything you would expect in the real North Pole when you were a child. My family and I spent Christmas here and was absolutely everything I wanted and more. From breathtaking views to a cozy room with a fire place over looking the ski in ski out right through your window. It’s magical in all ways!!
The food was great! Loved movie night, hot chocolate and s'mores! Taking the shuttle was easy and timely and kids ski lessons were great. Food & drinks: Loved the breakfast buffet and the cheese pizza at the market store.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel. The rooms were the typical two queen bed room but we had a walk out patio that took us to an amazing outdoor view. Very serene! This hotel is very kid friendly. They have a gaming room with two Foosball tables, three giant tv with Xbox, and PS5. They also provide board games for families to play. They have a fully stocked market that sells wine and beer. The market also makes easy breakfast and lunch items for reasonable "Vail" prices. The outdoor space is amazing with their pool we did not swim. Plenty of walking trails close by to check out scenic views. Highly recommend
Beautiful place in a beautiful location, service was great. I lost a shirt in the closet and they have a website for lost and found which is neat but my shirt was not found, oh well, still a nice place.Rooms: 5/5
Included valet and ski valet, big bonus! Staff are incredibly helpful - even personally drove to pick up stranded guests. Outstanding service!! Pulling back one star though because the condo itself was lacking some basic necessities like regular drinking glasses, salt and pepper pretty common for these places, dish soap, etc. Also, the hot tub failed one night I reset it myself, the oven was broken they offered a replacement room but we really didn't want to go through the hassle of moving, and other somewhat minor annoyances. It was a great stay, just not 5-star perfect.
Only 1 star and that’s because there is no 0 possible. We booked this because it was a Grand Hyatt property but it was poorer than any accommodation I have ever seen. The entrance to the condo 35 was blocked by downstairs garbage bag which had stunk up the entire area including the reserved apartment. The condo itself was about 40 years old with pathetic decor and design and old time heaters with black “stuff” on the surface. The lights upstairs did not work in either room and the bathrooms, the lesser said about them, the better. Small and from the 70s with almost no changes. We went back to the hotel to demand a refund and left for a hotel in the heart of Vail for about the same price. The hotel manager was great and tried to help out but it was just not something that could be repaired. STAY AWAY. This is NOT a Grand Hyatt level hotel and should have been retired or broken down a long time ago. Sad state of affairs.
Great location for year round activities. The hotel staff is attentive and friendly. The rooms are well appointed and beds are comfortable.Rooms: 5/5
We decided to make a trip to Vail Residences over the labor day weekend. While the hotel and property managed to impress us at first, it's the events later that left us disappointed. First, at check-in we were given the wrong room number. We spent a good 30 minutes trying to find the room and when we did, we realized our key just wasn't working. When we called the front desk for help, we were told the room number written on the paper was incorrect. They finally gave us the correct room number. After this, the next night we realized the lock to the patio door wasn't working. We immediately called them and were informed that they dint have anyone to help us out as it was beyond 8pm. We were given no other answers and were left to sleep with the door unlocked. During check out when we brought this up with the management we were just given a smile and told 'Thanks for informing us, we will take a note of it' and then they reminded us that they need to charge us an additional resort fee. We were utterly disappointed with the overall experience here and would advice them to work on improving their service.
Had a nice weekend here, generally as advertised. I paid in full weeks in advance because I didn’t want any complications when I was checking in or out with family. Unfortunately was left with a bad taste in my mouth after a $60 cleaning charge was assessed that I was not advised of ahead of time. Not a good look to nickel and dime your guests. EDIT - I have changed this review to reflect that the cleaning fee was waived and the company was responsive to the complaint. Wish it hadn't happened in the first place, but appreciate the company addressing the problem.
